Is there a reason for this pricing structure?

Hey everyone. So recently I asked for better pricing from one of my manufactures and they said they can do less 50% + less 20% which works like this $100-50% = $50 - 20% = $40

Not I have realized this is the same thing as 60% off. $100 - 60% = $40

Do you think there is a particular reason they chose to say less 50 less 20 versus just saying 60% off?

Most likely they wanted to make you think you were getting a better deal that way. After all 50 and 20 looks like 70.:hilarious:

As a side issue, such a huge discount rings some alarm bells. Why did they quote you so high to start with? That usually means that if you were gullible enough to order at that price they would make a killing.

I would be wary of them.

P.S. A US trophy supplier publishes a catalog annually and the prices are always discounted by 75%. Aren't they generous?
