Gratitude is key to a good life IMO. You can be extremely happy with very little and extremely unhappy with what many people could only dream of.
lm very grateful for all the big things in my life... Family, wealth etc but I also find a lot of happiness and contentment in practising gratitude towards small, every day things too.
I try to be grateful as often as possible. It's a nice way to prime my brain for a better life. Sometimes I just make a list in my head, from small to large, of the things I'm grateful for.
I've also learned to count obstacles and problems as things to be grateful for. This helps my brain reframe and find solutions instead of wallowing in the muck of the problem.
