Wie finden Sie einen Bedarf auf dem Markt?
This is not a definitive answer, it might help you find a possible need.
Find things that you're interested in. What is the thing that you're interested in? What is the thing you can talk about for hours? There's got to be an internal desire for what you do. This will keep you going when you're not getting any results or compensation in the beginning when you're working your a$$ off for hours.
One of the ways you can find a possible need is based on how much competition there is in a given space. You would never believe what people are willing to spend their money on.
If there's a lot of competition, then there is a big need for your products/services, which is a great thing if you want to build a brand and standout since there's a lot of "me too" businesses in those segments and traditions in these industries which you can disrupt.
If there's no competition or absolutely nobody's doing it around the world, then that's most likely a bad sign. Revolutionary ideas do not always mean great businesses. The best businesses today are slightly twisted and improved versions of previous ideas. Tesla is not the first car nor the first electric car. But they improved, twisted and made electric cars sexier, and much faster than their competitors. Same thing with Amazon. Amazon was not the first e-commerce company. Coffee existed long before Starbucks became a multi billion dollar brand.
Having an idea is like 1-2% of the whole equation. The rest 98% is execution, observing and adapting your actions to improve your results.
Because chances are, people before you have already tried exploring these markets and weren't able to capitalize on them since no one was willing to pay for their product/service.
Also look at growing and shrinking markets. Growing markets are technology(blockchain, digital currency, financial services, online transfers), IT(everything that's related to the internet), automation, warehouses/logistics(people need space more than ever), fitness(people want to be sexier. I don't think it's going to ever die in the nearer future), entertainment(movies, video games, funny videos, theme parks), luxuries(people are getting wealthier with rising GDPs. Exotic cars, swimming pools, mansions, watches, jewelry etc. Some people will always want that), education(people are hungry for knowledge) etc.
Shrinking markets: Newspapers(people prefer to be online and see what's happening at the comfort of their homes), shop clerks/cashiers(many of them are going to be employed unfortunately because of automation.), car mechanics(debatable), truck drivers(debatable to an extent) etc.
