I'd like to buy some sort of watercraft and/or ATV's this year to force myself out into the AZ Wilderness.

And of course, my favorite hobby .... Cars!

I'm an avid outdoorsman, so I love spending time hunting and fishing. When I was in college I shot competitively (trap and skeet) and really enjoyed doing it, but haven't made the time to visit the skeet fields in a long time.

New things (i guess something new wouldn't be a hobby though)...I really enjoy doing and seeing things I haven't before. Unfortunately all my friends just go to the same bars and get wasted every night and make fun of me for going home and reading a book (business related)on Saturday night. LOL, guess I need some new friends.

General life enjoyment-- I love to explore
I used to be into Astronomy, harcore, but living in the city kills the joy :nonod:. I had a sweet 10" scope, UHTC coartings, I had to sell it :nonod:.
Staying health/in shape
Playing Halo, the only video game I have enjoyed in quite some time.
Surfing the internet, fourm posting, which would correlate with learning, since it is a resource I use.
Blackjack. I do not have the stamina for poker.

Poker is the big one...played professionally for a couple years and now just a hobby...

Since I have a full-time job, I'd say investing and starting businesses is probably a hobby at this point as well...

Have we seen you on TV? What happened that you don't play "professionally" anymore? Playing pro poker seems like it would be fun, at least if you have a few winners here and there.

Been on TV a couple times. The big one was the second event of the 2005 World Series of Poker. I took second to Eric Froelich (the big 21-year-old kid with the basketball jersey), and made $240K. To my embarrassment, it's still replayed in ESPN and ESPN2 a bit too often. As my friends would tell it, I was the "annoying guy who kept staring at his opponents." :smxE:

Had one other final table on TV, but didn't get much face time in that episode.

Anway, I've never played full time (when you do, it's not long before it turns into just another job). For a couple years I was playing the tournament circuit part-time and playing the big cash games. And then I met "the one," and she's not into the whole gambling lifestyle that comes with winning and losing tens of thousands of dollars in a night.

I've been very lucky to make most of my money doing the 9-5 thing (right time, right place during the Internet boom), and my girlfriend has made it clear that if I will be doing any investing, it will be in business ventures and real estate, not poker.

So, poker is relegated to hobby status now (though I still put in about 200 hours a year), and most of my free time is now spent figuring out how to multiply my net worth.

Btw, thanks for the great forum! It's great to be able to share ideas with some brilliant people who have obviously earned their great success...

JScott, we are gonna need a youtube link to that video!!!

I like watching Formula 1 racing; Soccer (Spanish league and european competitions); Going to the gym 3 to 5 times a week (I don't really like it but I know it is good so I keep at it); I also like reading about success stories, to understand how they did it.

I like playing beach volleyball (I don't live close to the beach, but any sand court will do); go-karts; Soccer once a week (while the weather allows it)

I like to take in a movie every once in a while.
Read books (mostly on RE)
Do my mandatory gym time (trying to get back in shape)
I used to teach Martial Arts which kept me in fairly good shape but haven't done that in a while. I would like to get back to that and open a school in AZ when I get there.

My Hobby? Drag Racing. I absolutely love it. Made my self give it up for now though. Definitely a big part of my cash flow problems. So I parked it. It's sitting out there in the trailer......ready to go. It is now the carrot dangling in front of my nose. Because I have promised myself that I won't sit in it again until I am WELLLLLL on my way to financial freedom. GMJ

I'm really into drag racing also. I did the same thing....just to expensive to pursue at the moment.

Poker, I play online poker and live poker when I get the chance. The game is more like chess then most people realize. I enjoy being 3 steps ahead. I am seasoned poster on the 2+2 forums and a subscriber to Duecescracked. Both are well worth my time for something I enjoy.

I golf and also play frisbee golf. Great ways to spend time.

I also enjoy riding my 82' yamaha maxim 650.

I am part of the nintendo generation, so I do play video games a couple hours a week. I consider that my TV time since I watch hardly any TV.

I wouldn't be a true Colorado native if I didn't enjoy, hiking/camping/fishing etc.
