Hello everyone, I'm George.

After reading MJ's TMF and Unscripted , I felt so angry with myself to have fallen a victim to guru programs multiple times and to have wasted a lot of money that could've helped me get a lot further in life than my current position.

I'm currently 26, studying film in the UK and have a personal debt of £8k. All because I was living like a sidewalker, buying fancy tech I couldn't afford and also because I was "investing" into gurus.

The good news are that after all the action faking and all the failed attempts to launch a business, I now know that the right path towards entrepreneurship starts from skill acquisition.

My "weapon" of choice as a freelancer? Email copywriting.

I wouldn't say I'm great at this point, but I'm getting there. Thankfully, the course I'm now taking is specifically geared towards helping me understand the fundamentals of copywriting, and not achieving a specific result. It's called Copyhour, if you're interested.

If you're wondering why I chose to study film, given that most this stuff can be taught online, the reason is that I noticed this specific university offers specialisation into visual advertising in the second year. Also, I can learn a lot of elements of storytelling that are used in film that can help with copy.

Although, I'm not entirely sure if I've made the right decision to be at this university. So I've started rethinking whether I should drop out and get a minimum wage job while I hone my copy chops.

Anyway, it's great to be in this forum and I'm looking forward to getting to know you fellow members as you strive forward to the fastlane.
