I was approached by a real estate fund raising team after they got a hold of my resume. They are small, but very vertical and know how to show their numbers in plain English. They essentially fund a real estate flipping business, but they really do have the numbers to back it up. They have completed over 200 projects all at a profit buying distressed homes and flipping them for 20-30% more than they purchased them for.
Essentially the role is calling the accredited, showing them the details, then winning their investment of you hope 100k a pop. You receive 10% of their investment. So raising 8 million dollars at 100k a pop is only 80 investors. Has anyone participated in pre IPO fundraising or fundraising of this nature? They mention you can become vested with them since they are so small. And it's selling the opportunity in DFW one of the best real estate markets in the world.
