Greetings from the beautiful island of sint maarten(post hurricane irma)

Good morning to all fastlaners from around the world. This is my first post ever since I was planning on posting before our island was destroyed but now I'm back in the game. My business experience include managing 6 figure in revenue guesthouse along with my mother. We are currently in the process of receiving our insurance for rebuilding so we could get moving. It feels good to be able to join amazing community like this.

After Irma passed through Miami our business was without power (and inevitably closed) for two weeks. Not only was it disruptive but incredibly costly. We kept payroll going even though we weren't open. A big sacrifice (not sure our employees even realize how big), but it could have easily put us out of business.

Can't imagine being out for as long as you have. Good luck, indeed!
