Hello Fastlaners
I'm Shawn and I'm from St. Louis, MO.
I'v been a programmer all my life mainly focused on Web Development working for small to mid sized companies as a consultant or perm employee.
ever since I was a kid I've wanted my own business but as I've come to learn over the last couple years, I WAS CHICKEN!! I went to school and got a couple degrees feeling like it was the only path open to me. I've come to realize over the last few years that I could have chosen any path. Truth be told I was too chicken make the sacrifices necessary to do my own thing.
I've been playing with Internet Marketing here and there over the last 20 years. I've build numerous tools and sites along the way. I code at home nearly every day but it's mainly just proof of concept type stuff.
Earlier this year I hooked up with a few marketers and built the site soloadauctions.com from the ground up. The site has not achieved much of an audience and one of he main marketers on the team has had some serious health issues over the last four or five months so the site sits idle for the most part.
Anyway, I've been trying to figure out what direction to go next for a couple months. I wanted to find others with the same business interests as me so I went searching for forums and I cam across FastlaneForum. I immediately grabbed the book, read it in two days and joined the forum the next Day.
MJ's book is incredible. It taught me a ton and confirmed alot of beliefs I already have about the suck level of the status quo path and the way to go about reaching my goals. I'm beyond thrilled to have found you.
I've been reading through some of these incredible posts on the forum and am trying to figure out where to go from here.
As I said in the beginning, I'm a coder and have coded in 20+ languages. There isn't much on the tech side of he world that I can't speak to. If there is anything I an help any of you with feel free to reach out to me.
Thanks for reading, great to meet you all.
