As @MJ DeMarco mentions in his books, counting on the slow lane by saving for retirement for 40+ years is not a sound plan. I have CNBC on in the background as I work and had to save this quick clip of Lee Cooperman discussing the challenge retirees will have with these low interest rates ("How can they afford to retire").

As Scott Wapner says at the end, "Good luck being a saver!" * VIDEO ATTACHED

Let's keep working on transitioning to a fast lane so we all aren't in a similar position... stay focused!

I followed the science; all I found was money.

But what about those awesome headlines that say, "This school teacher retired at 52 on $1,200 month by moving to Mexico and saving all her pennies for 42 years while living on Ramen and tap water!"

Not my cup of tea, glad a network like CNBC is reiterating what you've been talking about for years. They are guilty of headlines like you just mentioned but if you listen closely important lessons can be heard...

Suze Orman got to love her telling people to sacrifice but never tells them they should be Making Millions with Books and DVDs as an Entrepreneur as she is doing.
