Hi,

[My original post got deleted because my account got temporary banned mistakenly ]

Short version of the question: due to client demands - I am expanding from being a solo freelancer to hiring one or two guys.

So now I am looking to hire someone on the interwebs.

What is the best way to go about this?

Should I hire someone by the hour?
Should I cherry-pick one or two sub-projects ( a few hours work) and post that for a fixed price?
Should I ...

I'm not really into Upwork or Freelance.com .... Are there any other places/websites to find quality web-devs that you can recommend? My work area is mostly back-end PHP, mainly Laravel and e-commerce (Magento, but switching to Shopware, which is a Symfony based e-commerce platform).

Thanks again :)

There are three good ways to charge:
- Per Month
- Per Project
- Per Percentage (of profits)

I found my freelancers in this forum. I’d much rather see how people interact with other people first, and get an idea of their values.

I started by giving out small pieces of work, and then figuring it out from there.
