Hello everyone, I'm 18 and from Portugal.

Read TMF a while back and acquired a lot of skills by myself as a continuation. I have now a general idea of the entrepreneurial life and what it takes to be free.

Now I'm ready to apply my new knowledge and mindset into action. There's a road I want to take and that is licensing ideas to companies as a connector... And for that I wish to learn even more.

I'm currently in a very depressing environment and it is killing me inside... I have no friends or real family that could support me in this journey, but I'm lucky enough to have found the life changing book and forum of TMF.

Looking forward to being a part of this great community and giving back in the future.

No friends or family to support you? Heck, you are in a better condition than me. I have friends and family....who try to butcher my ideas and decisions around the clock!

take a look around. Lots of help around, lots of links to helpful channels. These are the stories and exploits of those who decided that leaving 'normally' (i.e Slowlane mediocrity) is bullshit, and make a jump to do things most would never think of doing.

Don't worry about your depressing environment. Leave that behind. It won't harm you. It can't.

Licensing ideas, huh? Are you dealing with mechanicals? Engineering?

Regarding your question, I don't know it yet. I'm still researching about licensing and finding my industry.
I have no previous experience on this topic but I do know that it is the road I want to follow.

How is the economy in Portugal? Are you in the city?

The last 4 years or so have been relatively positive. The economy is slowly scaling back up after the past European economic crisis.

People are getting their benefits back, productivity is rising and there is less emigration.

Portugal doesn't have the strongest economy, but there is a lot of potential I think. Currently, we're at the average ranks of Europe.

Edit: Yes, I live in a city to the north of Portugal
