Hello...as the the thread title states, while I've scanned the forum over the past 6-9 months, I'm finally making it a point to engage more deeply.

I'm currently a full-time sales exec with a b-to-b media company, but have some entrepreneurial experience in my past via franchise ownership (yeah, I know) and selling on Amazon (yeah, I know).

I suppose that I come by the entrepreneurship naturally, as my dad owned a golf and tennis shop back in the late 70s.

Unfortunately, his venture ended in a bankruptcy, as did my franchise ownership.

While it was a difficult lesson, it was a truly valuable one.

At the heart of my entrepreneurial fire, which still burns brightly, has always been..."Why do I have to rely on someone else to pay me"?

While I am employed and making more income than at any time in my professional life, I know that it can be ripped away from me in the blink of an eye.

As an employee, it's happened to me before, and it's that fear that still motivates me to find my CENTS-based business and realize my damned dream.

I'm currently writing a non-fiction book, which has been both enjoyable and one of the most difficult things that I've ever done.

While the progress is slow...I will get it done.

I've read all three of MJ's books...most recently, The Great Rat Race Escape , during last Summer.

I truly respect the hell out of everyone here who has both failed and succeeded in their entrepreneurial endeavors, because I know the full range of emotions that come with it.
