Can I identify as a female while filing the application, and then go back to identifying as a dude once I get the money?

Free registration at the forum removes this block.Because the women, wombats etc., scream and cry about sexism against them when they can't get the things they want. As mentioned previously, I can bet you that if some male entrepreneur does the same thing, social media, women's rights groups would all forget Covid19 and go wild and insane over this.
No. "Girl Power". "Women can do everything men can". Crossfit is a good example of that.
"Equality" bro.

nonsense, it's her money, she can do what she wants with it. There are several funds and charities round the world that target specific groups of people.Where I'm from, what she's doing is discrimination of gender, and she would be fined for it.
(A female lingeri shop even got fined for not hirering a guy due to discrimination)
With that said, I hope someone who truly needs the money will appreciate the gesture.
Anyone successfully get $5k?
I'm not just trying to be a dick but how about we change the conversation to "this is amazing, how can *I* help?"
The point is, if the genders were reversed there would be a public outcry and it would likely make front page headlines.
So the reason I pointed it out was to bring light to the double standard, not because I was offended or it was the only message I gathered from the post.
I could care less what she does with her money, she has the right to do with it as she pleases.
I do think it's a good cause by the way, but the gender restriction is unnecessary in my opinion.
I get where your coming from, but it's a perspective worth moving past.
The most pernicious thing about the victim complex is that it's contagious. If you watch people shriek about how they're victims long enough, eventually you mimic their psyche.
You know that you aren't actually bothered by Sara Blakely and that you probably approve of what appears to be genuinely charitable behavior.
The "girl-power" and "equality" campaigns aren't done for the benefit of women, they're done for the benefit of whoever runs those campaigns. It could be to sell things or acquire political power.
"If you want to advance a private interest, turn it into a public cause." Ed Bernays
Read about the Torches of Freedom campaign. It channeled the social frustrations of women into selling them cigarettes. All corporate and political campaigns follow this logic. It's propaganda, not principle.
Women aren't the enemy here - professional victims and opportunistic politicians and business people are.
You'd be better served seeing this stuff less as moral principles and more as natural law, like gravity. Gravity doesn't anger you - it's just something that you navigate around. Spend your energy learning what it is and how to apply it practically in your own life. You might even get something out of it.
For what it's worth, the point of this post was to offer you a mindset that will leave you better off than the one that you currently have. I may have failed in that endeavor, but that would be a matter of ability, not intent. I'm not trying to mindlessly s*** talk here.
LOL well in Canada this would technically be illegal, I think you may have a chance in California though as they are quite liberal, OOPS lets not talk politics.
Since June 2017, all places within Canada explicitly within Canadian Human Rights Act, equal opportunity and/or anti-discrimination legislation prohibit discrimination against gender identity or gender identity or expression.
The point is, if the genders were reversed there would be a public outcry and it would likely make front page headlines.Blows my mind the first thing you guys think of is "gee that's illegal, she's favoring women"
How about instead -- YOU give $5,000 to men to make it even?
I think it's fantastic she's doing what she's doing. Helping.
I'm not just trying to be a dick but how about we change the conversation to "this is amazing, how can *I* help?"
It is in fact discrimination against men, imagine a male millonare give loans only for men, what kind of rage that would create in the media.Isn't this technically credit discrimination based on gender? She could get sued for this.
Well, now that I think about it maybe not since it's not a loan..

Ok, just so we're clear... so discrimination's cool again?
Girl hits guy in public, everyone laughs at the guy.
Guy hits girl in public, everyone within 60 miles radius all rushes up to punch and stomp guy.
"Equality" lol
a life lived as a victim is a life thoroughly wasted.
Applications have re-opened. It was honestly the easiest application of my life. Took me maybe 8 minutes.

Ok, just so we're clear... so discrimination's cool again?Seriously lol, it's like even here people just want to find any reason to be offended.
Good luck!!Applications have re-opened. It was honestly the easiest application of my life. Took me maybe 8 minutes.
They actually say they don't want to invest in a company because it's run by women? If so, sounds like this whole industry needs to grow the hell up.When it comes to the private equity/private capital world, it's always been cool. Though historically it's been discrimination against women.
If you're really interested in fighting for equality in this area, there are lots of women who would appreciate it.

Those who experience discrimination are totally cool with it because that totally makes sense.Spoken like someone who has never experienced discrimination in their lives.
