Count me in... when is the next one? What site?

Jill, no worries, I will be the worse player in here... never played before, but what better way to learn than from the best here?

I'm in too!

I'm currently playing on Cake Poker, but we should prob play on Full Tilt or Poker Stars.

For those that play on Ultimate Bet, did you see the 60 Minutes story on Sunday about the
$20M in cheating that went on?

I saw that! Well, some of it. Ridiculous, though. One of the guys was a WSOP Main Event champion. What a tooool.

If I have any money in my account, I'm in, too.

What do people think is the best room to play in for a beginner?

I've read some reviews that say Full Tilt and Bodog have by far the easiest competition.

Any experience players care to weigh in?

Is there a difference between Pokerstars.com and .net? I went to sign in today but I have to re-download the program (it's been a while). I am seriously getting the itch again!

Anybody up for playing tonight? Or, if not, settting a date to play in the near future?

Is there a difference between Pokerstars.com and .net?

The difference is good marketing and an lesson in domain advertising.

Let me explain. It is illegal to advertise gambling websites, so what all these gambling websites do is market the .NET version of the gambling website which is essentially, a Play for FREE website. Perfectly legal. They do this cleverly knowing that many will not visit .NET and will visit the .COM version instead because it is natural instinct for web users.

Now, internet marketers and professionals know the first rule of thumb in visual and audio media advertising when it comes to domains ... .COM RULES and .NET sucks.

The poker sites leverage this fact and get away advertising their gambling sites through natural human error.

Pretty cool eh?

The .net versions are play money versions. The .com versions are for real money.

Snowbank has told me that Cake Poker is pretty soft. I find it slightly easier than Stars.

Pretty freakin' cool, indeed. I had NO IDEA that was the reasoning behind it.

It's getting kind of late now...I'm not sure a game tonight will work anymore.

Let's work on setting a date.

First date that works for me is Monday, December 15th. I'm open to other days, though. Just have to make sure my work schedule doesn't interfere.

Quick update:

I downloaded the newest version of Pokerstars and played a few $1 buy-in single tables...I am RUSTY! Wow!

I forgot how much different it is playing online than face-to-face. I need to practice!
