I am interested in getting an exclusive franchise right for a particular product straight from the manufacturer.

My question is, how can I calculate how much 'exclusivity fee' I have to pay in advance (this is what he requires), in order to reserve an exclusivity for a period of 5 years?

Is there a formula, or some thumb rule?

Why not ask the manufacturer how much is that worth?

Once they revealed their card you aren't getting any price higher than that.
