Here's a question guys!!

A recent conversion with someone involved him stating that money over ethics is more important and you can't help the world so who cares.

How many of you guys believe money is more important over ethics?
Are there principles any of you adhere to and believe in.

Are any of you making a LOT of money without compromising your ethics?

Do you run a business that you think 'helps' people?

Love to know your thoughts. [emoji3]

Ethics over money...ALWAYS.

I'd rather feel good about myself than be rich. Being rich would be great, but not if I felt terrible about how I got there.

For me I believe ethics first.

Whenever I'm considering a business opportunity, it has to be in line with my values and beliefs so I will always avoid certain industries/practices.

It's much harder getting rich this way as you have to stay away from many opportunities but I think it will pay off in the long run

Yer I agree. I wonder if anyone on here will admit to money over ethics?

I'm sure I'd be a millionaire by now if I didn't have my ethics but I want to lay in my death bed knowing I hadn't gone against my values.

If you approach things from an ethical standpoint and offer value to lots of people (ethically), you will get paid.

I am starting a non-profit at the moment and all I focused on is offering value and building a great product.
I`ll figure out how to monitise later (though I have it all planned)

I should have put a caveat in my post that i have never been truly been tested on this. My moral choices have never been pushed to a level that i had to think hard. Nor have i ever gotten to the point where i tried to justify something as ethical to reap a reward. The rewards have never been high enough to make me think about it.

Interesting thought: there must be a study out there that determined the dollar value of non-ethical behavior...

People would toe the line for $X.
People would alter their morals at $Y.
People would forget all ethics for $Z.
