Dear All, ist there any function to edit a post in a thread. (Esp. for updating content) Can't find one. Thanks for your help!

Hannes

Edit button is on the bottom left hand corner of the post.

I wonder if the forum has a threshold you need to reach before you can edit/delete content?

On my own threads I have an "edit" and "delete" button next to the "report" button in the bottom left.

I know we had (have?) a problem on here with newer users posting big talk, causing all kinds of commotion, and then removing their posts in an "I'm taking my ball and going home" kind of way. I could see removing those buttons for newer members being a way to solve that since older users are far, far less likely to do that kind of thing.

Maybe @MJ DeMarco can chime in on what's up with that?

There is a threshold for editing content. After the time expires, posts can no longer be edited. This is to prevent, "Hey guys, I don't like all your answers so I'm gonna delete my thread! Oh I can't delete it? Ill just edited it to say nothing!"

Looks like it's 10 days for regular users... 20 days for INSIDERS.
Fully understand this approach. Just found my answer in promoting my new PPA a bit needy [shame!!] when reading over it today and as it correlates with my new process thread.
Even I was really, really happy that day just got to know about "Entrepreneurial Heroine" - Well never mind. I might live with that :D Thanks a lot for all your clarification.
