Well... obviously, it did.

But maybe not as much as I thought it did.

Here are the non-paid results from Google Analytics for one of my sites:

2011-06-07_1607 - bflbob's library

There aren't a ton of visits, but it has shown a nice steady increase in activity.

Now, here are the same stats for Google searches only for that site:

2011-06-07_1611 - bflbob's library

Finally, here are the other search engines (Google excluded):

2011-06-07_1615 - bflbob's library

Notice how traffic actually picked up after I was de-indexed.

And look at the number of searches and time spent on site for other search engines, as well as the low bounce rate from Baidu.

I'm not sure if this means anything or not, but it sure is interesting.

It is interesting. The bounce rate seems high to me. Any idea what might be causing the bounce rate?

Yep. It's crap content.

So people either shut it down, or click my link to a product.
Not many read a second page or post.

I think that's why they were doing OK financially.
Folks would click anything to get the hell out of Dodge.
Sometimes, that was AdSense or another PPC link.

Dude, that's old school.

That's the kind of crap JScott Gecko was doing a few years ago.

Content is king now, bubba.

At least on google.

On Yahoo and Bing, it's still more about URLs, at least based on my (extremely limited) experience.
