This forum was most of his research.
Yup. What I liked about UNSCRIPTED was that it had links to all the forum posts that brought about the info-something that TMF didn't have. This forum was most of his research.
I was thinking of writing a book in the future, was just wondering on how MJ went about doing it what the process was, if he did market research or if was just an idea he had and start writing then started marketing it after?
Thanks for the response. If you don't mind me asking, what do you think was the most effective marketing method for your books? I know you had this forum and that gave you an immediate boost, but was there other things? Or did you get a lot of reviews from people on this forum and that led to you getting pushed up in the Amazon rankings which then led you getting noticed by mainstream media? Or?Zero. Nada. Zilch.
I already knew that "I want to be an entrepreneur" was a huge market -- and most people in that box, have no clue what they're doing and listening to the wrong people who have the wrong advice.
Yes, this forum helped me see common challenges people were having.
That said, I did do a lot of research pertaining to Unscripted (hence why it is heavily footnoted) -- but research for the market itself, I did none.
