Also, every time you get published on a media outlet directly it gives you more authority and credibility as a writer which means you can demand higher rates from your freelance writing. The skill of pitching media sites is a money-making freelance skill by itself by the way.

I was thinking of ranking on freelance sites to be visible, then work on long term projects with the best clients. When pitching sites, how do you increase "conversions?" Applying is the easy part.

I need to figure out how to pitch.

Day 74. All Doer work is done. I guess it's respectable progress.

Tomorrow, I'll complete work as I receive but, but mostly need to be on Finder mode — messaging people, applying for sites, pitching outlets.

The impossible happened. The customer support guys replied back to me and fixed the problem. Today, I've fixed the info that was wrong, and now expect to unlock those $416 by next week.

I owe an explanation to all of you: When I started, I claimed to be making 2K-3K profit a month. What I've achieved is something even better. Let me explain.

"TB's Retainer" stands for the money locked on my first freelance site. Let's call it TB; I used to make thousands a month here. Somewhere in Week 1, the TB site changes its terms of service. They changed their payment method, which required IDs, tax forms, and whatnot.

This whole time, I've been working with my first income source gone. I started all from zero. And now that I may get it back, this progress thread could double its speed, to say the least. Even if I lose those $400, it won't matter. The skills I've developed last forever.

These two days, I've put 5+ hours of quality work before 2 pm. Never felt happier!
I earn about $60 in those six hours.

Good question.
I once started with $1300 thinking it'd be enough to succeed. It wasn't. I chose the wrong product and spent all of it trying to launch something that never sold.
Couple months sooner, I had no capital, no stable income stream (I still don't think I'm stable). That's about it.

If you really want an awesome course, you should try Yaniv's Fast Track program, which I never talked about. You can ask Biophase as well.

Don't think anything important is going on these days. Apparently, I found a client at 10cents/word, but he's extremely perfectionist (we're writing a story about a company he's about to fund). We're going through the third revision, but he seems to like my creative style.

Thinks keep moving:

Day 20. Days start to look pretty similar and short. I get ~1000words written by 9AM. Having so much time lets me with nothing to do, so I started learning C# a few days ago. It looks fun, and it will help to create the SaaS company later.

Now, I have an idea to speed things up, although I'm doing great already. By this time, my amount already equals, at least, 50% of my hypothetical product inventory expense. I could "burn the boats", get details straight with a supplier, and pay the 50% upfront. They would only be able to hold the inventory for so long, and they would keep following up so I pay the other 50. Being one foot in the FBA business would give me the urgency I need.

Also, I'm less than 48h away from completing the dopamine detox challenge. It doesn't mean it stops there, but that negative drawn backs stop. Stay strong, and numbers will go up.

Performance went as usual. As for the loss, I spent $35 for the product sample, and Amazon charged the monthly $45.

No results for three days (my client is on vacation). I will definitely boost my productivity once everything is back on track. Luckily, I already have all the money I need, and those red numbers technically remain in my bank account yet.

Also expecting the sample which should arrive today. I have some final research work for the product improvements.

I wish the experiment worked, but it didn't...

I was first planning to split my routine into two days: one for writing, one for coding (and ecommerce in between. It's quite passive). I would need to do twice as much work on each, but because I'd do one thing at a time, my focus would increase.

It didn't work as I expected. It's easier to profit when you write everyday, and I'd like to code every day, not every other day. So I got back to my two-block routine and numbers went up.

They will soon go down once I buy the inventory.
