I've got a 2 year old niche B2C business which is coasting along, however I've noticed lately I'm in a slump, most my time is being spent on the mundane parts of the work where I add no value, mostly paper work, but haven't had time to automate/outsource yet. When I finish all the mundane crap every day I just feel burnt out and then procrastinate.

I'm also not confident about the future of the market i'm in, my ad cost per conversions across the board are slowly creeping up while other channels have been completely tapped out by myself and my competitors. I need to build another business with even greater scope as I don't intend on being the last person on the titanic when it sinks.

So my plan is:
1. Automate/outsource everything in my current biz I don't add value apart from marketing.
2. Build another business.

I've also managed to lose most the habits/discipline I've built up, stopped going to the gym, stopped eating right, spend too long reading/watching rubbish online. This is going to change.

Start with one habit, and build from it. I can recommend a habit tracker. Just cross off the things you achieved that day.
I have used http://www.joesgoals.com/ for some time, it's easy and fast. (I am not affiliated with the site).

Thanks I've got a habit tracker app on my phone which I need to start using again. I'm a great believer in getting the small habits dialled in which lead to your desired goals.

Spent the best part of 5 hours getting to Inbox zero. Too many tasks were in my inbox, have now moved them to ToDoist. Implemented a better labelling and filter system in Gmail.
Started organising my pad, cluttered home cluttered mind. Brought some drawers so everything has a place to live.
Deleted WhatsApp account. Massive time sink getting sent pointless photos and messages from friends mostly bored at their mundane jobs.

Had previous plans to spend the day with someone, however still managed to do get some work done and some of the easy wins on my todo list.

Will update this later today but going to grind all day and over the weekend. Listened to a good podcast on MFCEO about "balance" and balance being for average people. If you want success you have to grind, miss out on socialising etc.

I've been very guilty in the past of going out with mates on the weekend drinking, spending money better spent growing my business and being hungover and not fully functional for days after. Every weekend is now a working weekend until I reach my business and financial goals. I've got timed safe as a commitment device, so every Friday afternoon from today my phone will locked inside it until Sunday morning meaning I'll be completely incommunicado, avoiding temptation when it's Sat night and mates are messaging/calling wanting to hit the bars.

Been working non-stop till late in the evening. Spent a lot of time building new processes and creating scripts in Google Sheets to automate some more work and some grabbed some easy wins using Zapier. Still have a mountain of a backlog to get through. Going out for a few hours to chill out and read some self improvement books, as haven't left the house in 48 hours, then I'll be back to work this evening.

Sent some emails to a couple of solutions providers to outsource some of the paperwork which is killing my time, only had one reply and they are just messing me around wanting to know every detail of my biz without giving me a price. Really shows you when it comes to out competing others the bar isn't always as high as you think it is and the money is there to be taken. Will see if I can get someone local to do the work instead.

Another day full of paper work, god I hate stacks of paper but sadly its part of my business. A productive day and I'm going to do some more automation scripts this evening. Just gotta keep chipping away at it.

My cost per acquisition is still rising on my main marketing channel which I got to before my competition and hasn't been tapped out. Have hit what's called the law of shitty clickthroughs, all marketing efforts overtime result in worse clickthrough rates/ROI. Am having to reduce my CPC's to ensure I'm still making profit. To add to this my service is a once a lifetime thing, there's no repeat business. I'm estimating my sales are going to take a nose dive within days.

I have another business I want to start with a gap in the market I've found in the affiliate field as I had a major pain point myself with the current offerings. It's alot of work but does solve some of the problems with my current business (B2B vs B2C, recurring revenue vs one off sale, all online vs partly paper based). Will be bringing this forward.

Managed to hit the gym yesterday first time in a month. Apart from that still just working from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep with the odd 10 min break. Have reduced my physical inbox pile by about half, there's light at the end of the tunnel. Gotta keep grinding.
