I am currently setting up a website that will be in the travel and tourism sector. As it will be a new site visitors numbers will be low to start. We will eventually offer products and services but advertising will, i hope, be a useful revenue stream. However, as i come from a none-digital slowlane background i am having sone difficulty getting my head around the the potential revenue from advertising. Is CPM the industry standard pricing method, i.e. you agree to host an advert at a given CPM- or is this used more as a metric to asses success after a campaign. Any suggested sources of further info would also be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.
