Would a car detailing business be a good business to start?
I was thinking about doing it myself and possibly moving mobile in the future, then hiring employees. However, I am not sure what the cap would be on the business, how big could it get until it is unmanageable. What are your thoughts?
1. Are you fixing an inconvenience for your market? Meaning; does your market currently need but is lacking a detailing service?
2. How do you plan on getting your first customer? Have you done something similar?
3. Should I trust you my $150k vehicle for a $60 “detail” or should I bring in my $30k commuter for a “hand car wash”?
4. Explain to me how well of a match is your idea to CENTS framework?
5. I detail my cars. I pay thousands for nano tech coatings every two years. And I drive to the opposite side of our city because good detailers are very hard to find. Most people who get into this business do so because they think it’s easy. And they F*ck it up.
Good luck.
