My English is bad, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't directly and knowledgeably address your query.

Try Paint.NET and GIMP.

No, the OP's english is bad. Although, he/she is from the UK.

@hayden0001 if you use proper punctuation it will make your post much more readable. You'll be more likely to get more help from posters.

GIMP is an excellent alternative to Photoshop.

@hayden0001 read my post here https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/perception-is-reality.70005/

I don't post this to be condescending, but clearly other forum members have already pointed it out. The way you communicate is very important to people's perception of you.
People at this forum seriously overestimate the value of their opinion on someone else. You only need to be positively received by right people, not by everyone.

I will much more likely help someone who is not speaking English at all, because it's not the only language on Earth (people live outside of US/UK/AU as well), as long as his basic human qualities (which have nothing to do with quality of his English) are fine.

I also see people here at TFLF basing their opinion off something completely irrelevant. I'd say - if you're well received at TFLF, then you'll be "gtfo" received at many other places, especially offline, some of which have more value than TFLF.

I'm kinda tired of seeing users being attacked at this forum, in majority of scenarios OPs can be just ignored. If you feel like some user doesn't deserve your time - just don't spend it. Ignore him and proceed to something you find more deserving your time.

It's not because of his English. It's because of effort. Maybe English isn't his first language but in other languages they use capitalization and punctuation. The fact that he acknowledged that he needs to work on it and still doesn't place a simple period in his replies tells me a lot. Or at least in my brain it causes me to make a judgement about him.

I'm not asking him to use proper grammar or research correct spellings of words.

Do you think that the OP understands that you are supposed to start sentences with capital letters and chooses not to? Or do you think that he does not know that and that we should be more clear with our posts about what we are talking about?

I completely agree with "how you do something is how you do everything" meta. My point is that in this case we could just ignore OP, since Allen has already told him about his grammar.
We could do so much better if we focus on something more valuable. I actually had a choice between joining a thread to point at other people's mistakes (for criticism purposes) a few days ago, but instead I posted a new thread to create more value for others.
I think we can become even better as a community simply by ignoring this kind of threads and making a better use of our time.

If we really didn't care we would just ignore him.

Have you ever been a newbie at something and been ignored by people better than you?

Didn't you wish someone would tell you what you're doing wrong?

In a way, it's tough love.

Found this thread, thanks for the link to Gimp.
I was wondering if any of you outsource products picture editing to a freelancer (via Upwork for example) and what the rate should be? I usually get work done in low cost location freelancers and am quite happy with their deliveries, I have never outsourced photo editing before though. For let's say a medium complexity product photo, would 1$/photo be reasonable?
While I want to learn some photo editing to have full control on my website, at the same time I don't want to spend a huge amount of time editing 100s of pics if I can get it done by a specialist quicker, but not sure what the standard rate would be. Any suggestion?

Thank you! :)
