Does anyone have suggestions as to the best resources for Business & Industry statistics/standards? Online or otherwise? For example, a place where one can obtain an average net profit for a particular business type?

Thanks, Randall - really like that this gives you the expenses as a % of sales (so I don't have to do the math myself). :) If I take the industry average Revenue (from Janet's link) and combine it with the percentages given for all expenses here, it gives you a really great place to start, for a business plan. Rough, of course.... but a great start!
