Here is a video I came across and it really crystallized some ideas I've had in my head about time management.

This is the reason some people end up retired early, with multiple flows of passive income,
sipping Pina Coladas on a beach in the Bahamas, with all the freedom in the world, no worries about finances/etc :)

And others end up in the daily monotonous grind, wearing away their life, passion and self worth,
thinking "Damn, is this all there is to life?"

It all comes down to the time you have and what you select to do with it,
and the concept of ROTI = Return On Time Invested

@MJ DeMarco expressed this concept way before Rory did this talk even,
and in my personal experience,
I've noticed there is a undeniably huge correlation between those that are successful
and a high ROTI on their tasks.

So let's the genius that is Rory Vaden take it away:

Nice. Thanks for the share @Silverhawk851

Similar to what I was taught... that time management is a myth, and it's really just about prioritisation, and going through a "Dump it, Delegate it, Defer it, Do it" test.

A couple of good takeaways for me from the video were:

"What can I do NOW that will make tomorrow better?"

"You're always saying no to something. If you say yes to something, you're saying no to an infinite number of other things."

Great video, thanks for sharing!

Agreed with Andy's takeaways. To add to that, my main takeaway is: waiting to do something we know we should be doing but don't feel like doing is procrastination. Waiting to do something because we're deciding that now is not the right time is a virtue, it's patience. Patience to put off the insignificant things.

Interesting concept, thank you for sharing!

My main takeaways from the talk:

"When deciding what to do, use these three criteria to rank a task.
Urgency: How soon does it matter?
Important: How much does it matter?
Significance: How long does it matter?
"

"What can I do today to make tomorrow easier? -> Spend time today to have more time in the future"
