Are there any Belgians on this forum who would like to meet up?
If so, pm me or post in here. I'd love to hear your story.
I'm from Flanders, around the area of Aalst.

• Location: City brewery - restaurant 't Pakhuis, Vlaamsekaai 76, 2000 Antwerp (info: http://www.pakhuis.info)
  
• All Fastlaners of any 'level' are welcome
  (Even if you don't speak Dutch!)

• What are your plans (whatever you're comfortable with of sharing)

I think if we all answer these questions, we're quite some time further and we can let the conversation progress from there organically.

Fantastic! I love the amount of responses we got.
I cannot wait to hear all of those Dutch accents get mixed together hahaha!

So, what do you all have in mind with a meetup?
I'm thinking we keep it simple. We go to a public place. We get a drink and talk,
start networking, telling your stories,... all of that good stuff.

After some responses to this, I'll start going on the lookout for a good city where
we can hold the meetup. Anyways, good night!

I do have to apologize as I won't be able to speak dutch perfectly as I have just started learning (i have been in brussels for almost 9 months)

Don't worry about that, Belgians are always able to adapt.

If we only meet up with Belgians, maybe Ghent is a good choice.
But if the Dutchies also want to come, maybe somewhere in Antwerp?

A few ideas:

• Brasserie De Pelgrim - Berchem (Antwerpen) - these folks have a nice "veranda". Also parking right next door, and close to highway. Also have outside seating. Would probably not hurt to make a reservation.
• (this is part of the bars around De Koninck brewery, they have some private spaces as well that can be rented but for a first meetup not sure if that is necessary.)
• Huisbrouwerij het Pakhuis - Zuidkaai Antwerpen- Brasserie - also Antwerp. Parking nearby (gedempte Zuiderdokken), and close to highway. Has a small outside seating area.

Any people coming by public transport? If yes, maybe the one in 't Zuid is a better choice.

Gave them a call yesterday, seems for 10 people (according to the Doodle) we will not be needing any reservations for an informal gathering.

I couldn't agree more. I was actually thinking about just a casual thing. We sit somewhere
and have a genuine talk. It's always good to see people who are into the same things as you are.
Especially people who opt or to opt Fastlane, you don't find those around every corner.
