Is it possible? I have a product I want to create, and I believe that it complies with certain standards that other products might like to be inspected and reviewed for compliance, so they can attract more concerned customers. So I thought, why not also create a certification process.

Hypothetically, if UL Labs did not exist, how would I create a barrier of entry for my new company UL Labs? Other than the fact that UL is a gigantic accepted standard now, do you think UL had any sort of barrier to entry when it began? Same could be asked of BBB and others.
