Hi everyone,

How can I have a dedicated team on AWS who will manage everything from start to finish of a given project including maintenance for a monthly fee?

Please assist me with this as I really need help.

Thank you :)

I would be willing to pay for that too. I would think this would be a good opportunity for someone. I have used resource of Upwork in the past with good results, pretty inexpesive.

I use a company up in Alaska for this. What kind of AWS service do you want support for? PM me for details on the company.

For what I do, they charge $125/month to manage a server for me

AWS has so many services and you can do some many really complex things. I use AWS daily, across a wide range of services, managing multiple environments. If I took on an open-ended contract to manage AWS I'd have to charge a lot. I could see off-the-shelf options though, like an "S3 + Route 53 + CloudFront" package, and an "API Gateway + Lambda" package, or an "EC2 + supporting services" package.

What exactly is it you need managed?

We run a pretty basic system. Probably too basic. Two micro size windows VMs via EC2 with MS SQL. We are transitioning from one machine to the other, about 75% onto the new machine.

Performance will become an issue as we grow and we'll need to scale.

Honestly, I don't really know what's available. I come from more of a coding and analysis background.

I'll send you a PM with more details tomorrow.

I run the PCFixes account on Fiverr (soon will be moving to our domain PCFixes.com that I own) - big recommendation is to use DigitalOcean instead. It's simpler, cheaper and more effective than AWS. You can also install Plesk for free.

You obviously don't get anywhere near the range of offering, but you can get ancillary services elsewhere for a menial price anyway. For example, SendGrid is superior to Amazon SES and has a generous free tier.

I've moved a number of clients off AWS and onto DigitalOcean. Obviously, the solution has to match the requirements, but in almost every instance, they were overpaying (massively in some cases).

You may also wish to peruse RunCloud.io, although I've never used it.

Yea, we are heavy into AWS at my job, but my experience from that has lead me to embrace just plain Linux servers for all of my own projects. AWS is basically another operating system you have to manage, I'd rather just use Linux and a more servers when I need to scale (DO route isn't bad either, scaling up the server size easily without all the AWS complication).

Yes I knew about Upwork but if I was to hire them individually I would be paying a lot more for a month, not to mention that I want I the team in the US which will increase the rates even more. They are cheaper if it were an agency.

Hey Sam,

So say I submitted a software development project through the ACE Oppourtunity panel from my partner account on Amazon. Say it then got approved.

From that point onwards I want a team that will fully manage everything the project specifications are asking for. From providing past performance/preparation of proposal to the actual finished product, for a monthly fee.

I am looking forward to your reply.

Thank you
