Hey guys,

The girlfriend and I are thinking of moving to Italy. Has anyone moved from elsewhere to Italy and know what it's like?

Interested in seeing what it took, how the COL is and such.

Hi, i'm Italian and i live in Italy.
I can say that i'm opening my first business here and the taxes are high and the bureaucracy to do anything is crazy, it's taking me 3 months just to move the gas meter from indoor to outdoor.

My brother has just been in Germany for the holidays and he said that the cost of living is similar to Italy (north Italy), but the wages are 4 times higher on average.

I think the only exeption would be Milan or the Trentino region where the standards of living are higher.
Other than that it's still a nice country to live in, and it's still a rich country.

We have beautiful sceneries, the Alps on one side and the beaches on the other.
