Hey, I have read about 5 books so far and am looking for a good list of books/audio books to run through. I am also open to some motivational CD's. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

This is a fantastic list. I would also add in there 'Ready, Fire, Aim' by Michael Masterson. It is definitely MFL compatible.

As for business biographies, I really enjoyed Anyone Can Do It: My Story by Duncan Bannatyne. His story is interesting, he didn't get off his a$$ and start doing something with this life until he was 30. He was living on the dole for chrissakes! He went from Sidewalk to fastlane. Starting off selling ice cream and ending up with his fitness clubs and being worth multi-millions, he is also on Dragons Den these days.

The two best I've read recently:

The Slight Edge - Jeff Olson
The One Thing - Gary Keller

For audio CD's: The New Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz & Dan Kennedy is pretty good.

Thanks Nadia. I haven't got anything like this in my library. I think it will be a big help.

The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur by Mike Michalowicz
Well-written and humorous book by serial entrepreneur, who loves starting and growing business.
What you can learn: general attitude, mindset, importance of action, simple metrics.

Lean Startup by Eric Ries
Manual introducing whole business paradigm (as in title). One could say: business as science.
What you can learn: importance of efficient and test-driven modus operandi.

Micro-ISV by Bob Walsh
Old (a little, at least by the standards of internet era), but still partially relevant guide to entering a world of software business.
What you can learn: workflow.

Thinkertoys by Michael Michalko
Tools for creative thinking.
What you can learn: skill of "points of view juggling".

Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing by Dan Kennedy
Guide to entering information marketing industry. And like every Kennedy's book, also intense advertising tool for his own business, but hey - it works!
What you can learn: developing information products, structuring business model.

Do More Great Work by Michael Bungay Stanier
Tools for improving decision making process.
What you can learn: choosing better opportunities and projects that matter.

Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder
Must-read: visual tools for evaluating business models, known as Business Canvas. Simple and effective!
What you can learn: how to comprehend a big business picture and make money.

No B.S. Wealth Attraction in the New Economy by Dan Kennedy
Some principles of wealth accumulating.
What you can learn: laws of wealth massing.

Making Ideas Happen by Scott Belsky
System (known as Aion Method) of maintaining productivity for people which have trouble with execution (artists, for example).
What you can learn: there is a hope for you, even if you are procrastinating idea-man.

Rework by Jason Fried
Guide to current production strategies for (especially) web businesses.
What you can learn: old execution methods are gone, embrace today's workflow.

The Web Startup Success Guide by Bob Walsh
Updated and repositioned version of Micro-ISV.
What you can learn: workflow.

Everything by Seth Godin, Joel Spolsky, Napoleon Hill

Above titles are not mutually exclusive, of course, some stuff overlaps, sometimes there are contradictory ideas -- for you to choose.

Most of my recommendations have been listed already. Another one success mindset is 177 Metal Toughness Secrets of the World Class by Steve Siebold. Concise exploration of a ton of ideas/concepts you will find in other books, along with lots of recommendations for additional books on a subject, and the vast majority are not the authors other works. Good stuff

Also for a great and comprehensive, but not exhaustive overview of starting your business is Start Your Own Business by Entrepreneur Press. It is 720 pages and touches on every major topic with solid advice along with plenty of recommendations for additional books/resources. (Though it is in love with Apple stuff, and recommends GoDaddy, fail.)

Oh yeah, a couple of good overview books are the 50 x Classics books by Tom Butler Bowdown, 50 Success Classics, 50 Prosperity Classics, 50 Psychology Classics, 50 Spiritual Classics. A great overview of many many classics in the respective fields.

SPIN Selling is really good. 'How I Raised Myself From Failure to Success In Selling' by Frank Bettger was also good.

A few really good books I've read recently include:

- The Obstacle Is The Way
- Grow Rich With Peace of Mind (Napoleon Hill book he wrote later in life than Think & Grow Rich. I believe this book is actually better than Think & Grow Rich)
- 80/20 Sales & Marketing

Numerous books by Jay Abraham, if I had to pick one I'd suggest Stealth Marketing. Others include Geometric Growth, From Mediocrity To Millions (JVs), MrX. Of course there is plenty of crossover between the heap of material he has out there.

Just note the formatting varies so what I personally do is edit my own versions removing a bit of fluff and tidying a few things up for when I want to revise. Fluff is relative though, as my edited versions are still around 70-90 pages whereas most Kindle books I would prune down to 20-30 given the chance.

In terms of what is available cheaply on Amazon, most of the "No BS" series by Dan Kennedy are very useful if you ignore the upsells every few pages. Business Success, Wealth Attraction and Price Strategy would be my picks as the best of them.

The Six Month Fix by Gary Sutton is an interesting read on his company turnaround experiences.

The Goal : A process of ongoing improvement
This is a great one, and you don't see it talked about often
Jim Rohn 7 strategies of wealth and happiness
Influence by Robert Cialdini
Getting Things Done by David Allen
7 Habits by Stephen Covey
Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson (health and fitness)
TMF is #1 - most valuable book I have ever read

The Outliers by Malcom Gladwell is really great as well - more motivational than instructional, but very cool.

Sorry if I spelled any names wrong!

I had time to read only 2 books this month:

The Education of Millionaires and Little Book About Big Money

I can recommend both. I very much enjoy reading books like these ...written by expert in his/her field ... like Millionaire Fastlane (of course) but also Think Grow Rich and Millionaire Next Door (when you think about vast research). But these are popular books.
