I'm looking to break into the real estate market, and have been doing a lot of research and reading. It feels like moving to the area I'm investing in would be the best because real estate is local, and where I live (Hawaii) doesn't seem to work.
I have an opportunity to relocate to anywhere in the US for my future job. I always heard that areas like Texas, or Arizona are the best in turns of pricing, and cashflow.
Here's the question: Where in the US would be the best to start my real estate venture? I'm looking to buy and hold, so I'll probably never be selling property unless I can 1031 it to a bigger property. My goal is to start buying residential property, and repeating the process until I have a good enough cashflow, and start going into commercial property.
