Here's a master thread linking to all the longer interviews and chats I've done, mostly with fellow forum members.

The progress thread that's resulted in these calls is HERE.

Hope it helps.

Andy

EDIT: (15-Dec-16)
Ha. It's kinda turning into an accidental podcast!

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is a podcast?

I shoved the recordings on SoundCloud because I saw another forum member do the same and thought that's good enough for me.

It seems they can't be downloaded from SoundCloud? Is being downloadable part of what makes something a podcast?

Regularly creating audio content I guess is part of it.

Haha. Have I already created a podcast?

"The Accidental Podcast."

You're right. Maybe I just have to add that extra twist and what I'm doing within the forum can help people outside the forum.

Errr... Anyone know how to create a podcast?

EDIT: What do you think I should call it?

https://www.libsyn.com/
I listen to a lot of podcasts and a lot of them are hosted here.

Basically as @Waspy says a podcast just means having a regular schedule of production. This can vary wildly between podcasts with some being every day such as Entrepreneur on Fire (EoF) and others being 1 episode every 3-4 months!

Most listeners will subscribe to a podcast to automatically download the latest episodes. You can subscribe in a few different ways with iTunes being the most popular. (https://www.apple.com/au/itunes/podcasts/)

Here is a guide from EoF on how to set up a podcast: http://www.eofire.com/how-to-podcast/

And it actually looks like you can setup a podcast with SoundCloud: https://on.soundcloud.com/creator-guide/podcasting
Basically all you do is add on an RSS feed of your SoundCloud content and then submit that to iTunes. People then subscribe to your feed. Easy! :)

For anyone new like me: Download the app called "Soundy" for SoundCloud. It allows you to increase the playback speed up to 2x for these audios. Doesn't lose the comprehension. Adjust accordingly.

Just a suggestion for people like me who are captured by all the recording titles but realize it'll take like a full day to hear them all. Obviously, you can slow down on the juicy parts that you feel are really relevant.

I appreciate it might be some more work, but have you considered making it an actual podcast?

I would love to be able to download onto my phone and listen while on the go

You pretty much do have a podcast already! It's just a regular audio production, generally with a theme. You normally subscribe to them so you can download them as soon as they are produced.

I'm sure there are website out their that let you "produce" your own, not that I ever have.

Stick with AndyTalks, it's a good name!

Blimey, that Entrepreneur on Fire article is a good example of an Epic Post! It's soooo long.

There's many links to more info, including his Clickfunnels signup page to his email series on how to create a podcast, which I've just subscribed to.

It shows the power of Epic Content - people share it, and it causes people to take action.

Just like TMF ...

Interesting that EoF is one podcast a day. I was thinking of doing a short nugget of a video a day (tighter than my daily Snapchat stories). I was toying with the name AndyBites, but that might be taken up the wrong way. Haha. Also... I'm not trying to create a personal brand (believe it or not), so need to keep thinking on that.

Full disclose - I ended up removing Charles from the group after listening to after this.

Not as easy decision since he is a good guy but I don't agree with a lot of these tactics. Whenever I use someone elses platform/group I try add a lot of value to that platform and give the person (people) who maintain it the upmost respect.

I grew that group by proving a lot of value on here, my big post on reddit, and by word of mouth. The vast majority of newer members are from people inside the group adding people or from FB promoting it as a recommended group. I never went into a communitty that was tightly knit around a single goal and move them over to something very similar. I really try and always keep my relationships win-win for every involved and usually (hopefully) with more value to them.

I don't agree with these tactics - a tight knit group built around a common goal is not something to be tapped into whenever you need some people to go elsewhere. There are open communities like reddit or this forum where you can make connections and create your own little group. I don't post on here with the intention of moving people over to my FB group. If @MJ DeMarco ever feels that way I will gladly remove all links and threads that give that impression. And I would still post here afterwards.

I would hope that me posting on here adds way more value to MJ than anything I get in return. I recommend his book and forum on my group all the time and have even done free book giveaways etc. I get some value in return for sure but I always make sure to give way more than I take. When I heard this interview it sounded like a lot of take and very little give. I don't agree with a lot of these approaches - again this is the approach, not the person. So its best to part ways and just leave things be.

I don't like drama but I wanted to make my thoughts known. I wish him all the best and he has made huge progress in a short amount of time so I am sure he will continue fine.

Haha didn't do any extra research, this is all stuff I just had floating round in my head from listening to so many podcasts! All the same thanks for the rep :)

One thing with EoF is that he front loads his interviews. So instead of actually sitting down and doing 1 each day he records 7 in one day and then schedules them all to get released one per day. That way he can bang them all out in one 8 hour day and spend the rest of the week on other content/businesses.
