I've been building an online service for freelancers to invoice their clients, and while I've been building it I've been running an AdWords campaign to build an email list. I ran it for just £2 a day at £0.20 per click for a few days and have about 15 registrations.
I tried split testing the ads, but with such a low budget I can't really draw any statistically significant conclusions, however I did notice my average cost per registration did increase so I assume the new ad I introduced wasn't performing as well.

The website is ready now, and I have £100 to spend on advertising. I have three questions:
1) Should I keep my budget at £2 per day and spread the advertising over many days?
2) Should I keep my bid at £0.20 which gives me on average position #3, or is it worth bidding up to position 1?
3) Is it worth split testing on a small budget?

Any advice would be really appreciated

1. Id set this budget to cover a 24 hour day. Does .20 at $2 give you 24 hour coverage at accelerated spend? If not, Id aim to hit that based on accelerated spend so you can at least have info for day parting in the future.

2. Average position of 3 is generally good. I try to aim for 2.5 these days, but 3 will more than likely be good for you. 2.5 just suits me personally though.

3. Yes
