I'm looking to advertise my companies hosting/vps services here. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to go about doing this?

Thanks

Welcome,

Have a read of the rules here first:

Then here:

for marketing and forum sponsorship. I would suggest you remove your company hosting name from your post otherwise it is liable to be pulled.

Thank you,

I read the rules and the various accounts available. Couple questions if you don't mind.

The $49 ad subscription says 30 days but then says it stays up for 3 months. Is that a maximum with a $49 payment every 30 days?

Similar with the stuck thread ad option of $69 every 6 months. It says it has the same basic rules as above but as a stuck thread. If I pay $69 do I get a stuck thread for 6 months? And is there still a minimum of 100 posts required?

I took my company name off my original post, thanks for the heads up. I want to advertise here but am definitely not here to "get rich quick" or achieve BMW status. I own my own company and want to keep building and building for the long haul.

Lastly, I'm kinda new to all this and getting familiar with the various forums is a lot (for me). Could you recommend a link that gives a bit of an overview on forums or is it just straight "dive in and learn"?

Thanks again!

Both ads are permanent.

$49 is a ONE TIME payment. The ad stays up indefinitely, but loses exposure over time as it starts to get older and lowers itself in the ad list. After 3 months, you can no longer add updates to the thread without prompting a new payment. However, if users continually discuss (or add questions) to your ad, it can remain active for some time.

$49 gives you a FULL thread in the marketplace to say, advertise, and do what you want. That post is then showcased on the forum's home page for a short period of time, as long as it remains one of the CURRENT ads.

$69 is you want that thread STUCK to the top of the category. That $69 repeats every six months -- as long as the payment is made, your ad remains at the top of the category as a sticky, and you get unlimited updates, thread activations.

To advertise as either, there are NO minimum post requirements.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure @MJ DeMarco would be happy to discuss this with you. As for an overview most forums I know (that are worth while being a member of) frown on self promotion, especially of you are a new member. Always best to look up their MUST READ info and forum etiquette requirements.

A lot of the time I think the best way to promote your business is through being an active member and providing unbiased and valuable content. A lot of hard work but rewarding in its own right.

Very true, thanks for your input:) I'm pretty new to forums in general but learning new things is the only way to go!
