12 years ago Taylor Sheridan had a consistent yet fairly minor role on Sons of Anarchy.
He was 40 years old and it took him that long to have his FTE. He quit acting.
It took him 5 years to get his first movie into theaters. (2015)
Then came back to back Oscar nominations. (2017 & 18)
Then created the most popular show on cable.
Then he created more popular shows.
Today he's one of the hottest names in Hollywood. People are lining up to work with him.
And he doesn't even live in Hollywood. He lives in Texas.
Seems to me, Taylor Sheridan is proof that it's never too late to throw yourself fully into a fastlane enterprise. Provide value that others seek, in his case it's entertainment, and good things happen.
Here's the story I just read about his FTE moment. It's a quick read.
This guy was struggling to "make it" even at 40, 41, 42 yrs old. He probably looked like a failure. Or a quitter.
Look at him now.
DON'T EVER QUIT ON YOURSELF.
You can quit the direction you are going; don't ever quit on yourself.
Hope this helps someone today.
