By June of 2014, my iOS app company took of, and I finally quit my job and was earning 5-figures per month. This was only after they were rejected 16 times. That company is now up to 1.3 million downloads (and not something I work on anymore)
In June 2016...
I ran out of money and went homeless in the middle of a foreign country.
The day after my 30th birthday, I was left in the streets in the middle of Manchester, UK - facing my worst fears.
Having to move back with my parents after quitting my job.
So I spent the first half of 2017 just kind of building my business as I wanted to - making sales as they came in - maintaining things until I figured out what I wanted to do in life.
Andrew, here in lies I think your biggest issue... and it is absolutely the #1 thing that MJ despises more than politics. I'm so glad that you came clean and posted this on the forum.
You had an IOS business that you started in 2014 that failed in 2016. You were broke in 2016-2017. Yet, you felt that you were qualified enough to start a coaching business with this title:
Are You Struggling to Find a Business Idea?
Move Forward with Absolute Certainty That the Product You Choose Will Succeed
See anything wrong with that? On your landing page there is some seriously cringe worthy stuff. You began to stretch the truth with everything that you did and people who knew you could not read your stuff anymore. We were always wondering when you'd see the light. And we knew that one day this was coming where you ventured into the point of no return on the forum.
I'm writing this as my last post to you. You've come a long way in 7 years, but I'd say that 3 years of it was going in the wrong direction.
I feel like you've been in this make-believe world for the past 3 years where you are thinking you are this person and everyone else sees a totally different person. You justify who you are and what you are doing by one or two sentence results from an interaction that occurred a day ago.
I still don't feel that you get it. Leaving the forum a few years doesn't do much good if you are still going the wrong direction. I know you want to help people. So go help people by doing it, not by exaggerating your accomplishments to sell a book or course that you may not be qualified to write. Ask yourself, is that really helping people? Or are you doing it for money because you are broke? You need to be true to yourself when answering this question.
