I respectfully disagree because those that make the sacrifice of time, money and effort to travel across the country are the types I want to be speaking to.

I have been to B&Ps before. I hosted an event for forum members as well. It isn't grab a$$... Most people leave not only energized to deploy some new tools, but also with great friendships. It is worthwhile well beyond the presentations.

Entrepreneurs are not rewarded without sacrifice. The same should be true for an event like this one... Especially since the sacrifice is minimal relative to the known benefits of attending.

Let me talk about my consumer products company... I didn't have one before the first B&P I attended. Within 3 months I had a profitable company because I met @Vigilante. There is NO OTHER REASON I would have started that company.

It wasnt some amazing success story, but it did provide me with a half a million dollars worth of income over the years and it also introduced me to my great friend that would ultimately buy the company. So yes. My ROI on the probably $1500 I spent on the whole trip was a half a million dollars and counting.

One thing leads to another. Be there or have regrets.

Of course there are other benefits of going, especially in the networking arena. There's nothing like face-to-face networking, and going to a live event is obviously going to be more immersive than watching the footage.

To draw a parrellel it's like going to a concert vs watching the footage on DVD. Of course going will be a more powerful experience, but I don't think there's any harm in having the information reach a wider audience.

I just think it would be a shame to let all those good talks not be scaled. Information is one of the easiest products to scale.

I may go, I'm not sure yet. There is a reason I may not be able to make it, but I'm trying to work that out now. We shall see. But even if I do make it I think footage could really help the Fastlane philosophy grow. Think about how many views those TED talks get.

Took him over a year to do it but it’s probably the most impressive Fastlane story that I’ve watched on the forum.

No, it's a private event. No recordings, no living streaming, nothing.

If you want to go, contact the forum. Several individuals won't be able to make it due to immigration visa issues, schedule conflicts, etc. so a few tickets have been approved for third-party resale.

Hey ZCP, thanks for your input.

Its not a limiting belief.

Perhaps instead of saying "I cant join this year" I should have said the following:

I did a ROI-comparison on whether or not I should join and I came to the conclusion that it is not useful for me to join. A much better investment of my time and money is to stay in Germany and complete the next action steps in my business.

Dont get me wrong, its not that I dont think the speakers wont have any valuable information to offer.

My situation currently is that I know EXACTLY what my next steps need to do be. I need to EXECUTE.. no point in going to a seminar to find more information or discover new business ideas / opportunities that might run the risk of derailing me from my current path.

I hope this made it more clear...

Ya, so far this is what my plan is.

Listen to Kak teach me to be a better leader. Listen to ZCP so I can come up with a great idea. Listen to Rearden so I can invent it well, then Bekit so I can market that sucker to the masses. Then I’m gonna share a brownie with you.

As more speakers are coming soon I’m sure this loose plan of mine will need adjusting. So far so good..

There are several women, that I know of, that post quality content on the forum and are well respected members.

I don't get the angle. Alas, do what you need to do.

We agree. I'm not sure where you find a different angle.
Some people have extremely different values than you and me and they're here, and they simply can't or won't tune in to information presented by a woman. And it's nothing personal. But they ask for human feedback. There are many comments about this on the forum. Instead of skipping over them I engage.

@Bekit it's a liberating not limiting belief. I don't ever care who reads or skips my content. This is about responding to a stranger who needs more than a Like. And engaging even though they are not invested here, and eventually being forgotten by them.

EDIT: It makes sense to me to keep the thread focused on the 2020 Summit and save this discussion for another thread.

Imo this topic will be important for almost anyone. I don't know why but I have the feeling that distraction becomes a bigger topic over time. From social media or YouTube or anywhere else the noise is getting louder and screaming for your attention.

Also I recognized the influence my phone has over me. When I want to concentrate and my phone is faced upwards next to me it's really hard to focus. Even if I can only see it with an standby screen it's already distracting me. Therefore I always hide my phone out of my view range and place it screen faced down. Otherwise it's really hard to focus for me. I already turned off all notifications of distracting apps but even without it the temptation of only seeing my phone is already destroying my concentration. Maybe some of you experience something similar.

So this will be definitely an interesting topic to me

Another update, still some speaker invites outstanding as well as some other people who are trying to see if their schedule allows for travel dates. Looking to add 3-5 more speakers depending on who is available and confirms. Bottomline, I can't have 10 invites outstanding and only 4 slots.

Was just talking to my wife about being able to pull this off. Coming in from Canada, so call it $1,500 flights + $1,200 hotel + $500 ticket. Consensus was that $3,200 is a ton of money (and it is). But I’ll be damned if this first batch of released speakers doesn’t make me want to reopen the conversation. A dozen more to go. Man!
