Househacking for Entrepreneurs.
The old adage of sleeping on the floor of an apartment with 6 friends eating ramen noodles to get by while building your business doesn't have to be you. What if you could own your house and never pay for it? What if you could put almost no money down, have your mortgage paid for, and live for free while building your business?

@Envision will show you how to live for free whether your an entrepreneur, investor, or average 9-5er working your way in the fastlane. What can you expect?
  • What househacking is and how it allows you to live for free
  • How Envision boosted his net worth over $100,000 in one property while building a business
  • The math behind househacking properties and why you have an advantage in today's market.
  • How to build out a real estate investing business through househacking
  • Mistakes and lessons learned (so you dont make them)
  • Office hacking for your business (A project in progress)

@DaveC -- The Business of Buying Businesses.
How To Jumpstart Into Business (For newbs w/o a business) Or Add to Your Existing Business (For those who have one.)

Many entrepreneurs start out building web businesses from scratch…finding an idea, doing research, creating landing pages, testing offers, etc…. Even with “lean startup” or “fail fast” methodologies, many small businesses experience failure. Buying an existing business will often accelerate you past these roadblocks.

About Dave: He's personally used this to build a portfolio of cash flow and appreciation. The returns can easily be 40-50% per year or more. I’ve been investing in online website purchases since 2009 and have done dozens of deals in sizes ranging from under $1k to over $2million.

:star::star: SPEAKER #10:star::star:
@csalvato -- Going from Solopreneur to a Team Effort: How to Grow A Team Around You That Will Follow You Into Hell and Back.

This is a very important discussion for entrepreneurs as often times the difference between POOR SCALE and MASSIVE SCALE is the ability to build a team.

:star::star: SPEAKER #11:star::star:

How it works, future outlooks, and why you should get in as early as possible.
:star::star: SPEAKER #12:star::star:
@Kung Fu Steve -- Our master motivator returns for his 5, 6 or 7th season. Slap your hands together like a madman and get ready for kick-butt motivational session that is likely to piss of your friends and neighbors... Skeptical? Steve gets paid for this stuff normally so you're in for a treat. And not only does he get paid to do this stuff (and he's offering his kick-assness to us for free) he's paid by the grandmaster motivator himself, none other than Tony Robbins.

:star::star: SPEAKER #13:star::star:

@TheTruth -- How to build an e-commerce business from $0 to 6 figures (profitably) within 5 months. He will cover when to follow the herd vs. when to differentiate, how to pinpoint and optimize/systematize the most important part of your business (regardless of the business), what marketing strategy to utilize depending on the business you have and a complete breakdown from start to finish on how to run an online business in today's world using his experience at two startups he is involved with as well as his own business. :checkbox: COST
  • $399.99 per ticket per person. (Same price as last year / limit 2 / non-refundable). Price includes continental breakfasts and lunch buffets, both days. Other perks might occur dependent on how our room allocations go. Presenters get 1/2 off their ticket price. Reminder: This is not a for-profit event as my company is on the hook for the cost of rooms and minimum food/beverage -- kinda scary stuff)
  • Total tickets expected to be available: 80-100.
  • Tickets on Sale Date: To Be Determined (based on confirmed speakers)
  • Best strategy to get tickets? (They sell out quickly!) WATCH THE FORUM for updates. Be an INSIDERS. Don't have ZERO posts.

:checkbox: ROOMS
If you are planning on going to this event, PLEASE plan to stay at the resort. IT'S A GREAT TIME and a GREAT PLACE to say. The casino will give us a room code and a small discounted room block once I firm up the speakers. Room prices should be $239/nite plus typical ridiculous hotel add-ons.

THURSDAY CHECK-IN RECOMMENDED
(STAY TUNED FOR CODE -- IT IS NOT SET!)

If you attended last year (2016) it was a spectacular time. The night life at the casino is awesome, and the networking aftewards is good too. Plenty of places to drink/sit around and talk shop.
The purpose of this thread is to give guests/attendees a flavor for the type of presentations they can expect to hear before they buy. You can expect to hear from many forum regulars as well as some old-timers. In total, I'm shooting for 20 speakers (19 plus myself) at 30 minutes per clip.

Stay tuned!

Understand that most of the gut checks for me in route to building and subsequently selling my business came from people that I met in person at the Forum.

My first forum meetup in Scottsdale a few years back literally changed my life.

Like a fork in the road where everything I knew was pulling me to "normal town" but I took a chance on the other path and it totally paid off. Never did anything like that before but I got on a plane, flew to a place I had never been to meet up with folks I'd never met, not knowing what the hell to expect and it all paid off in spades.

Sure I'm not as successful as some of the folks on here but the connections, friendships, mindset changes, education and experience was nothing short of astounding. I'd even attribute my stubbornness in not giving up to the folks I met there. I've run a few businesses that just didn't do what I had hoped they would do but the possibility of success isn't a theory to me anymore. It's not random internet marketers telling me it could happen if I buy their course. It's not news stories or self help books. It's folks I've shook hands with, broken bread with, and connected with who I've seen change the courses of their lives in a very real way. Whenever I fail I know the possibility of success is still there. It's real. Tangible.

That all being said - I'm looking forward to re-connecting with some new and old faces this year as I'll certainly be going :)

I didn’t even think about writing things off. I’ll check out my credit card rewards. Now I feel like I put my foot in my mouth earlier haha

When I went my first year I didnt even have a business, i was doing a bit of real estate house hacking and pretty much dabbling in e-commerce. This year Ill go back with more cash flowing RE and a online business that did 250k+ in sales this year. Most of that was made possible by this event and the connections/lessons you make and learn. It's not even a debate if you should go or not

SPEAKER AND TOPIC #16
:star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star::star:

Open Panel Discussion With Group, Speakers + Attendees -- At the end of the two day session, all attendees will have an opportunity to ask any of the speakers (AND attendees) questions about ANYTHING; Amazon, eCommerce, motivation, real estate, nothing is off limits.

Additionally, other attendees will have the opportunity to field any questions if they're open to it. Just because you did NOT get a speaking opportunity, doesn't mean you can't add your two-cents! This group is likely to have a TON of successful people, not just speaking, but in the audience.

However, there's a couple AirBNBs nearby that aren't too expensive

For those operating in a limited budget that's a good option. For those who are not, PLEASE book with the hotel as my company is on the hook for room allocations. If no one books rooms, I have to pay for all of them.

If you buy a ticket after the annoucement, the room reservation details will be on the attachment with the order. I would suggest doing that quickly as with the last event, the room blocks went pretty quick.

This won’t be a problem at all at this event. Everyone just talks to everyone. I don’t even know half the screen names of most people when talking and usually find out a few days later.

I'm going to put REAL NAMES and FORUM NAMES on all the name tags this year.

You’re killing me. I’m trying to make responsible business decisions here!
Me thinks you just don't fully understand the power of this event.

My business would not be where it is today if not for the education gleaned and friendships made from past events. Something to think on.

These events are so easily to socialize at, you guys shouldn't even worry.

Everyone is there to socialize, learn, meet new people, etc...

If you find yourself sitting against a wall watching everyone else talk, you're doing it wrong. Slap yourself and go jump into a conversation, introduce yourself, and the rest will take care of itself.

Or come find me and we'll work the room together.
I have zero problems jumping in and out of conversations in huge rooms full of people.

and I'm not happy at all that there will be a big concert and show there (meaning crowds, noise, partying, etc.)

It's a resort and casino.

You should expect to be as lively as any Vegas casino on a Saturday night. Even more so with Derulo and Inglesias being there that weekend.

There's a reason why I don't do this at a Best Western in Sun City.

If a lively crowd of young people isn't your thing, then yes, stay somewhere else. I'm sure the Hampton next door will be more quiet and business like.

Personally, I like the idea of checking in Thursday and not having to leave the entire weekend. The resort has everything. In years past, the group would split up and hit 20 different bars spread across the valley. The first year we did this at TSR, pretty much everyone hung out w/each other. There was no reason to leave and find the "hot spot" -- we were already there.

In all seriousness: Steve, please submit a description of your talk so I can update! :)

So there's a few things I can do -- but maybe it makes more sense to see what people are looking for first?

My three thoughts are:

1.) The usual spiel. Tackling the limiting belief systems stopping people from bridging that gap from where they are to where they want to be. Uncover the belief systems holding people back. Identify what they truly are. Go over the only two ways to change a belief and install a new one. We can do a super quick belief shift in 30 minutes or so.

2.) The advanced psychology. You know what to do and you WANT to do it... but you still don't. Why? You say you want one thing but you do another. Business, relationships, fitness. Why sabotage success? The good news is people only do things for 6 reasons. And depending on which of those reasons are your top two your entire life direction can change.

3.) The Rapid Planning Method. This is the "time management" system we use internally and with organizational turn around. It gets people to focus on what is really important and what is actually going to move the needle in your business without a limiting "to-do list" Wanna get more shit done and feel more successful while doing it? We call it RPM for short.

Anybody care? I could even just tell bad jokes the whole time or tell you crazy a$$ stories from my wild ride with big buddy aka banana hands.

It's hard to describe. Not withstanding the talks, the energy is fantastic. No matter where people are in their life, you just get the feeling that you're with people who are grabbing life by the balls and not accepting mediocrity as a life plan.

Glad to hear it made a huge impact for you.

2.) The advanced psychology.

This!

I can't wait to see you all again... I swear... this is one of the highlights of my year, EVERY year, and not having this meetup last year left a void in my life.

I've said it before, but from my first meetup in 2010, never have I clicked so quickly & thoroughly with a group of people in my life. You guys are my tribe, can't wait for the reunion. ;)

You’re killing me. I’m trying to make responsible business decisions here!

"Next year."

Understand that most of the gut checks for me in route to building and subsequently selling my business came from people that I met in person at the Forum.

See you next year, maybe.

I Know Who You Are. I know where you're at. I know what you need. Get your a$$ to Scottsdale.

If you think about it as "networking" or "working a room," it can seem daunting. But if you think at every networking opportunity "I am going to meet two interesting people and that's it," it gets a lot easier. By the end of the weekend, you will have met a ton of people.

This always works for me and I am an intj and extreme introvert.

Here are some scripts if you want them:

"Hi, I'm _____, is this your first time at the summit?"

"Hi, I'm ______, I do ______. What's your business?"

If it seems that everyone is already talking to someone and that everyone knows everyone else, just walk up and say hi to the dude standing against the wall pretending to be really busy on his phone. He is just checking ESPN and desperately wishing he wasn't so shy. You'll have a friend for life.

particularly since I've recently fallen in love with desert landscapes.

After careful contemplation while staring out into my back yard this morning - I, too, have fallen in love with deserts.

I cannot think of any event in this world that I'd like to attend more than this one. But I asked myself "What can I give?", the answer is "Very little" at this stage.

Sincerely hope this meetup will take place again in one year. That's my time frame to produce and create so I'll have more to give and share.

You don't have to give anything to come to the event to learn.

As a matter of fact, think of it as giving a great gift to your yourself to come and expand/learn and grow yourself and business.

When I buy a book on a topic at Amazon, I don't ask myself "what can i give to buy this book". The book is a gift to my future self. I use it as a tool to expand and grow. This is how you need to view this event.

It will be the best $1000 you've ever spent. I know you are a young guy too so chalk it up to a major investment in yourself for the next 40 years. I am also flying from the same location as you so an added bonus. All I care about is getting my hands on the golden ticket.

Oh and on top of that I pissed off my wife as we were supposed to go on a planned family vacation that weekend with her family. I told them to either go without me or move the vacation, because I know that this conference will increase our business aptitude and eventual income and freedom by 1000%. I don't even have a ticket yet, so I am COMMITTED to getting one lol.

Yeah, it can be cheaper than $1k too. I had many points/miles on my reward cards. I know others might not have this advantage though.

All in all, I'm only going for the cost of the ticket itself. Everything else I redeemed miles/points for. Besides what I do there once I get there ( food, taxi, etc ) it's a low amount business write off for the ticket only.

You’re right, and I’ve definitely looked at the pros and cons of it that way too.

I’ll have some thinking to do this week. I really do want to go.

You should come out just for the networking too.

While I am an extreme introvert, I am making it a goal to network with several of you. I've been able to come a long way without networking in my life. The only thing I haven't done is networking so Im looking at it as a goal to overcome that now.

Hopefully this event will help me in that regard.

Maybe some of you can force me to network? Hold me accountable.

Who wants to be my networking and accountability wingman for the weekend? lol

In 2014 - I had a ticket, and then sold it last minute, like a chump, and went to a music education convention in my state instead.

In 2015 - I had just had a kid.

In 2016 - Not sure why I didn't go. Couldn't have been a good reason.

In 2017 - There was no meetup.

In 2018 - I'm F*cking there. See you guys soon.

I have issues with this as well. I'm never the guy that strikes up a conversation with a complete stranger. It's something I'm hoping to get better at.

This won’t be a problem at all at this event. Everyone just talks to everyone. I don’t even know half the screen names of most people when talking and usually find out a few days later.
