    Delivery Service

Does anyone have any experience with delivery services? I'm curious to the logistics behind such an operation. I've had my eye on a certain market that has one person in it, and their pretty much in one state. The company doing it is charging $2k a month, plus $7 per "package". I'm mostly...

Anyone dabble in the vending machine business?

We have a $.25 candy machine at our repair shop that a guy comes and cleans and refills once a month, it’s a mildly high traffic, and does get some business escpically when kids come in. The issue I see with it, I would think you need a lot of machine to make it profitable or worth your time...

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
Maybe it’s just geographical; but I’ve never met a 50-65 year old who said anything bad about blue collar. Quite the opposite actually. I live in an area where just about every blue collar business is owned by an older man that started with nothing. The business my family owns was started by a...

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
Is there problem with the entire Economy? I’m making $20 an hour, which is high for a non factory job (300M+ company). With that pay me and my wife are doing fine now, but we don’t have any debt, we own everything. But we also don’t own a house. I think that cost of living is a little daunting...

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
Am I saying this right; “low unemployement is a sign of market unsettlement?” That confuses me in the sense that how would an economy be weak if jobs are full, people are spending money, and businesses are growing. I think that the “Blue Collar Recession” has more to with the high salarys that...

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
How do you solve a problem this big? We ended up hiring a less experience mechanic; and I’ve been working with him and teaching him. Problem with auto mechanic is the steep learning curve, but he’s been doing well. I’ve though about opening a “tech school” that actually teaches you real world...

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
Exactly my point. I don’t understand why people go to college for this. Techs are starting at $20 an hour

    Blue Collar Recession

    HOT!
I’ve been in the service industry my entire life, and I’ve notice a continuing trend among every industry; you can’t drive past a business without a help wanted sign. Even state townships have big signs “looking for help”. Being young, I don’t remeber much, or ever paid attention to things like...

    Ignorance Leading to Failure.

    RANT
I want to start out by saying that my last 4 months have not been nearly as productive as I wished. In May, I decided to stop funding my first try at "entrepreneurship" (I dislike the entrepreneur term) which has zero support from the industry I was trying to target. I read both books, and...

What mobile data plan do you own?

    OFF-TOPIC
I don’t have internet access where I live, they won’t bring it too me. You can’t use your regular data with the hotspot, but for $10 it was the cheapest option for internet. It’s plenty fast to surf internet and download smaller things

What mobile data plan do you own?

    OFF-TOPIC
It’s awesome, same service as AT&T: in congested areas it sometimes gets slow, I’ve never experienced this! Recommend them!

What mobile data plan do you own?

    OFF-TOPIC
Cricket wireless, unlimited data/text/call and a 10gb hotspot. Hotspot was the only reason I went with cricket. I pay $100 monthly for 2 lines both with hotspot

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
I was scrolling through Facebook and an ad caught my attention. Pretty cool seeing an ad for a project, when you know the entire work being out into it. I’ll share it! One thing to note; a couple people are complaining about not getting a contacted back about them. He was asking if they fit...

    Tired of my job!

    INTRO
You can search for the repair you needed, and your vehicle make. A filter results will show you shops that work on your car with the service you need. Highest tier package shops will show a banner that tells you they specialize in your car; say Ford. I plan to advertise heavily via Facebook and...

    Tired of my job!

    INTRO
There’s no good way to find a repair shop, especially if you’ve just moved to a new town or are just traveling. So I solved that My father is not open to ideas, and doesn’t care what I say. He’s a very difficult person to work with let alone try and talk business too. But that is for an entire...

    Tired of my job!

    INTRO
Hello, My name is Collin and I'm 20. I've read the Fastlane and Unscripted. The Fastlane change the way I perceive the way people have the wealth that they do. My father owns a Salvage yard and we also have a repair shop. I'm currently a mechanic and I'm very proficient at it, but it's not a job...
