Thanks for the honesty. This is a great place to be to help you get through the desert of desertion we will all feel before we reach our potential. Good luck to you and welcome. You've come to the right place.

Ditto! I'm in this age bracket and I have more motivation than I had 10 years ago. I'm more focused and driven to achieve because of my age. I don't waste time anymore. Getting up 3 hours before my J.O.B. to journal, yoga/exercise, learn and research has become MUCH easier. (Oh, and a...

Great thread! I'm getting into voice over work, copy and animations as my bootstrap j.o.b. I'm watching this and will be reading through it's entirety. Wow, what a great place to be motivated!

Same here, I'm still at my job but am trying voice over work as a way to bootstrap time. If I can make what I need to make working 2 or 3 days a week, that would be ideal. Happy trails man. I can't wait to see it!

I'm sorry, never asked. What type of engineering were you in? Or are you currently?

Thank you very much! The first time I was here I didn't know what to expect. I've read so many "bro" message boards talking about Lambo's and Boileroom Bullsh** with empty slogans and slick talk and I was afraid it would be some of the same. Money, I've found, seems to attract the worst...

Thank you so much! My 2 years I worked for design/build firm here in Vegas and go the heads up about an engineering firm that needed a structural draftsman. I didn't know anything about structural but I had a real good teacher. What type of business? My thought is I'd let the market decide...

Lol, I couldn't sleep and I work at 7:30. Actually part of my discipline is getting up at 4:00am so I have time to do my morning pages, yoga/gym and read.

Yeah, same w/ L.A. We go to LaJolla to a little travelodge in WindNSea. It's cheap and it's right down the street from the beach.

Wow, thanks for the reply MJ! Even though I'm not surprised because you mentioned that you stay close to the forums on a daily basis in your book. TMF is in line w/ 2 other books. You've got a fan for life man! Part 1. Get disciplined. There are some things I need to clean up in my life...

At 2:36 am this morning I rose, gave my wife a soft kiss on the cheek, splashed water on my face, grabbed a bottled water and began creating a profile for this forum. See, like many of you I assume, the Unscripted hit me right on the chin. And once hit, life changes. I've always "fancied"...
