Have you had your "FTE"? (Or Was it an FTM?!)

    GOLD! MINDSET FTE CHAT
I was already thinking about leaving, but I had my first review for my PhD, and my external reviewer was less than kind to me. For those who don't know, academics are very stuck in their ways. The bad review was because I was using a different method to the one that he was researching. I got...

...What about owning a MLM company?

I think it depends what you mean by ethical - no one's going to lose their house by investing all of their money into an MLM, no one is selling things that cause harm to people. Yes it's annoying to have a MLMer permanently yapping on at you but is that considered an unethical business?

...What about owning a MLM company?

I see posts about why not to join a MLM scheme on here and on Reddit ALL THE TIME. Every time I read a thread it's always the same thing: - Only the owners make money - My Mum/Sister/Cousin/Hairdresser has got involved with one and can't see why it doesn't work So there's probably a market for...

    What do you drive?

    OFF-TOPIC
I've got a 16 year old Vauxhall/Opel Corsa Sport (the sport is very important!) I'm incredibly happy with her, she's like my child. Great fun to drive; she's infinitely smaller than the ridiculously huge cars driving around today so I can always find a parking space that normal cars can't fit...

Hi All - Current Student Trying To Avoid The Slowlane

    SLOWLANE INTRO
That's the boyfriend's area of expertise, I'm not a fan tbh. I'm all for the fastlane but I think I draw the line at weapons manufacturing. Obviously it is a lucrative industry and I'm not criticising those who are involved but personally it's not for me :)

I just made my first "money while you sleep"

    EXECUTION
I mean, it's only £10.50 which resulted in a whopping £3.28 profit (clearing down stock from my previous failed business), but I woke up with £10.50 more in cash than I did when I went to sleep and I just felt I needed to share :D

Should I sell my Instagram accounts?

    SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
If you're looking to get rid of it quickly, eBay will probably be your best bet. If it's gathering followers, let it go over some big milestone (eg. 100k, 500k) before you sell it - you'll get more money the more followers you have, even if the page hasn't been active for a while :)

    I've Read The Millionaire Fastlane!

    GOLD! HOT!
I'm currently on my second trip round - highlighting: a) positive motivation - eg. MJ was flat broke at 26 so I've not run out of time b) negative motivation - eg. scare tacticts on the slowlane c) actions

Running a Company FB Page under a Personal Account

Iirc there's an option on Facebook advertising to target people that like a certain page(?) that might be more relevant than targeting a demographic EDIT: Apparently that's no longer an option, however you can target people by "interest"

Hi All - Current Student Trying To Avoid The Slowlane

    SLOWLANE INTRO
Definitely - getting through the politics and red-tape BS will be a lot more difficult than it sounds though. Any slight mistake or a risk that doesn't pay off in aerospace and everything comes crashing down (apologies for phrasing) in a second. Take Concorde for example - they were doing...

Hi All - Current Student Trying To Avoid The Slowlane

    SLOWLANE INTRO
I'm absolutely going to finish it - there's no doubt about that! It'd be ridiculous for me to give up 5 years in to my university "career" when I only have 2 left. I'd still have two degrees but there's something special about being a doctor. I think The Big Bang Theory summed it up well: The...

Hi All - Current Student Trying To Avoid The Slowlane

    SLOWLANE INTRO
That's a good plan actually, then I can experiment and not have to worry about whether it fails or not :) The aerospace thing is a good idea too - however everyone is incredibly secretive about what problems they have - any issues and people would just stop using their aircraft and the company...

Hi All - Current Student Trying To Avoid The Slowlane

    SLOWLANE INTRO
Hi All! I'm Laura, from Bristol in the UK. I'm currently doing my PhD in Aerospace Engineering which is funded by a large aerospace company. I go and work in the company two days a week and honestly, it horrifies me. I don't want to be stuck there pressing run on programs and then writing a...
