You're welcome. I've been tinkering with Bubble the last few weeks so I can be a resource should you need it. The founders are also very helpful.

Most definitely. The brain is still hardwired to perceive writing as "real".

@NuclearPuma I have to agree with you. Last month I did exactly what you're talking about here. As a result, I am down 10 pounds (I made working out a priority) and have landed my first two clients. This has freed me up from the need to take another job while I work on my fastlane projects and...

I have more free time than ever - How can I spend it wisely?

    MINDSET
It certainly sounds like you should start a side project, any project for the heck of it. The truly unique ideas arise when you are able to apply the experience gained from developing your domain knowledge to an adjacent arena. With photography as your background, where else can you pick up...

How they made $10 Million in 90 days with an app

    WEB/DIGITAL
Ha, I can attest to their brilliant strategy. I was hooked for 2 weeks straight and spent a few bucks on characters simply because I wanted to. Removing the barrier to gameplay makes it a joy to play. I didn't know it was $10M joyous though.

Alex, I hope you've noticed the trend in the feedback from the veterans in here. Fortunately for you, it seems you have a solid base to build from so it shouldn't be too risky to get started. I don't see any point in selling your condo if you don't have anything to invest that money into at the...

Dom, nice to see you putting your ideas to work and getting the ball running. I'd like to point out tools like Appery and Bubble that allow you to build applications without coding. That way you can iterate quickly on your concepts and generate tighter specs for any developer you might bring in.

My experience (actually) launching a product

Nice & thanks! I may take you up on that, if only to send some tartan ties to some former colleagues of mine.

My experience (actually) launching a product

BTW, I was in Scotland (Montrose) for an extended work trip when I really started to think about starting my company. I was staying at a B&B where the keeper is also a seamstress and she schooled me on a number of things.

My experience (actually) launching a product

Thanks for sharing, it is certainly nice see their mindset early on. It seems like they've stuck to it as they've expanded. I think the key to succeeding in a crowded market like apparel is starting with a very focused niche. Once you've built a strong customer base, you can then grow buy...

My experience (actually) launching a product

I appreciate the feedback, honestly. If your takeaway from what I wrote is that I may be deluding myself, then that's an issue with my writing. Thanks for expressing you view on this. Fortunately, people actually love the ties. In fact, we just went over our Kickstarter goal just as I started...

I'd say pick the best ebook you have in your arsenal at the moment and start selling it now. Why are you only "on the verge" of publishing it? Start with one and push it, write content around, network with other bloggers, guest post, hustle your way onto podcasts, etc. over the next few months...
