  1. OFF-TOPIC 'Deaths of despair' soaring among Gen Z & millennials: 'It's the economy, stupid'

This is a major pet peeve of mine. People have this weird belief that saying a magic word negates their actions. That their feelings make their shitty actions ok.
  2. EXECUTION Value First and Foremost

Don't worry about the cold calls - like anything else, you will get more comfortable with them after a little practice.
  3. GOLD! Being in a relationship with a slowlaner...

Everything in the Salon article was non-sense, out of context and a lie. The link you posted amounts to "Ayn Rand said something". It doesn't say why what she said is right / wrong / moral / immoral. If you want to prove her as being immoral, then give a reason. Also, CS Lewis equating...
  4. OFF-TOPIC Does anyone else find social media boring?

wtaf They would rather his mum worked two jobs than do some modelling and make some serious bank? POS nihilists.
  5. GOLD! Being in a relationship with a slowlaner...

That article has no sources whatsoever. I've not looked into the affair between Rand and Branden too much, but: It was mutually consensual with all parties involved The Brandens smeared Rand afterwards, releasing a book with outright lies in it (The Passion of Ayn Rand) Most of the above lies...
  6. OFF-TOPIC 'Deaths of despair' soaring among Gen Z & millennials: 'It's the economy, stupid'

Best post in the thread. There are an appalling lack of heroes in Western culture. Virtue has been inverted - entrepreneurs are made out to be villains, and talentless thieves become mega stars. The only way the press will write favourably about someone succeeding in business, is if they...
  7. One thing all successful entrepreneurs seem to have in common

Reality is independent of perception. It is what it is, regardless of what we think about it.
  8. OFF-TOPIC This Is Upsetting

What's the problem with this? If a coder doesn't want it, then they don't have to accept it. If coders are literally a dime a dozen, then that is the market. No-one is entitled to $X/month, if you can get a better price for your skills then go get a better price.
  9. What do to when people say "don't chase money" in terms of following your passion but you don't have any passions?

"living from the internet" isn't a goal, it's a vehicle. What do you really want? freedom of location? Or to take a few weeks of awesome holidays every year? Or to work in a country that isn't your own? If you don't know what you like, then try things out. Figure out if you do like them...
  10. Doing the Andy Frisella "75 Hard" Challenge

My favourite one was the "powerlist" episode. It's a very good way to figure out what you need to be doing every day to reach the goals you want to reach. I think of it as a lifestyle version of 75 hard. Kinda like if you want to read loads of books, you need to read a little each a day. Tbh...
  11. EXECUTION Adventures of a Facebook Newbie

    1) Yeah the word "fans" is a bit cheesy... 2) You don't necessarily have to use a selfie, but you can use an image, pro photo, stock photo etc. Images in general usually help boost engagement. Rather than a selfie, maybe a friend (or stranger!) taking a photo of you? From what I've played...
  12. EXECUTION Adventures of a Facebook Newbie

I might be wrong, but I don't think it's possible to do that on Facebook Pages. You can post a status update asking people what they want - as more people comment, facebook shows it to more of your "fans". Questions like that tend to be very engaging. As silly as it sounds, posting a question...
  13. RANT Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread

Multiple ropes on cranes are used to create a pulley - this lets you lift a much greater weight with the same distance arm on the crane, than a single rope. That's might be hard to do on a helicopter because weight of the steel rope becomes a problem (the rope is probably heavier than the...
  14. REAL resources on self image and self belief

There is no such thing as a "self" detached from the world. You're talking about a consciousness with nothing to be conscious of - that's meaningless.
  15. EXECUTION Value First and Foremost

    Congratulations man!
  16. REAL resources on self image and self belief

PsycoCybernetics is a great book on self image. It helps you understand how your actions are driven by your self image, some common misconceptions around the topic, and how we can start to change our self image. One tool I've been using recently is trying to be ruthlessly rational with what I...
  17. Which are some books to get my feet wet into ... how do I call this

Loving it! Atlas Shrugged is an amazing book.
  18. Anyone use CLICKFUNNELS?

Most of the hype with it is from people trying to make money on the affiliate sales. In fact, they have a 30 day training program specially designed to help people go from 0 to $$$ selling click funnels as an affiliate. I used it for a while, but it was too expensive for what I was selling. As...
