Real Estate Americans investing in Canadian real estate?

Wow, thanks for clarification on that! A rare case where Canadian taxes are more favorable than even the US. Very good to know.

Real Estate Americans investing in Canadian real estate?

It's definitely an interesting phenomenon. I sat next to a guy in a bar in Vancouver recently who turned out to be a Canadian "HUD" (Whatever you call it up there) real estate analyst. When I asked him what could justify the insane prices of Vancouver real estate, he was speechless for a few...

Real Estate Americans investing in Canadian real estate?

With the US dollar buying you $1.30 Canadian right now, I have been thinking a lot about buying a piece of Canadian real estate to diversify my portfolio, and as a hedge against the US dollar falling again in the future. My wife and I have been vacationing a lot in BC, and enjoy the scenery +...

Indeed. MJ and I went head to head in the semi-finals last year, and thanks to Jamal Charles having an uncharacteristically slow day -- I snuck by him to the Super Bowl :)

    $7,000,000 in 4 years

Owning real estate in your portfolio continues to be one of the best hedges against inflation there is. Especially single family rental property. If inflation happens, rents will rise. Your cash-flow will move up accordingly. In inflationary periods, owing on the properties actually turns...

    Medical school

Profits are becoming fewer and far between, and will only get worse as governments continue to take over via socialized medicine. The number of years you must invest for an income that is not growing do not make sense. Like the above poster mentioned, the docs I know would not do it again --...

Real Estate Will we ever see a 0% mortgage?

Old Thread -- but this thought is fresh in my mind today, after the Fed announced an open-ended QE3 -- with no end in sight. He's going to push rates down to an unprecedented level. May not mean 0%, but could we be nearing a sub 2% mortgage rate? Very interesting for those of us holding ARMs...

    WEB/DIGITAL Affiliate / Blogging / Adsense questions!

No I was just talking about submitting Google sitemaps, and to Yahoo, etc.... Paying for clicks on Google Adsense sounds kind of risky, because you could end up paying more for the clicks than you'd ever make from the affiliate sales, or am I missing something here? Cheers, -Hakrjak

    WEB/DIGITAL Affiliate / Blogging / Adsense questions!

Hey Gang -- I'm a little late to the party, but that's OK. I recently started to play with online blogs for the purpose of profiting over adsense and affiliate programs, etc. I have a few questions for the pros who have been doing this a lot longer, if you wouldn't mind helping me out: 1)...

The FACEBOOK IPO, and how you can profit....

A lot of money has been made on LinkedIn so far. Now the question is: is it time to jump to Zynga? With growth on par with Facebook, and earnings coming on Tuesday - could we see a huge pop by Tuesday night? I'm placing a small bet that good earnings and close ties to FB will have this stock...

The FACEBOOK IPO, and how you can profit....

I thought I was doing great today when I sold my LNKD stock for a 7.33% gain in 1 day, and still am holding my SOCL ETF for another nice gain. Then I looked at ZYNGA stock, and about crapped my pants. Up 17% in a single day right now! Yes folks, I'd say that the next tech bubble has...

The FACEBOOK IPO, and how you can profit....

LNKD (Linked In) has been a great stock to own to capitalize on the Facebook hype so far. I'm widening my scope, and buying SOCL which is an ETF that covers all of the social networking stocks. My bet is that these stocks will spike leading up to the Facebook IPO, and you'll be able to dump it...

Real Estate Renting Real Estate: Worth It?

I have been a landlord for 10+ years. I enjoy the passive income and the tax benefits. Once you get past about your 5th rental house, you'll never paid income tax again generally speaking. At one time I had a lot of properties but I selectively fixed and flipped out of the ones that were hard...

So who has started and MLM company?

I started one around 1997. We made a few thousand, but had a hard time explaining the compensation plan to people who joined. Then we had a hard time actually getting them to re-sell for us after they bought. I think we got around 50 people to join, but they never brought another single...
