Gotta love his transparency.

There are so many things I love about Elon Musk, a couple things I hate about him (lol), but the way he controls his personal brand is incredible.

He's a PR masterclass, including every single goofy meme he has ever posted. The dude is brilliant.

(I just don't like the brain implants and some other weird sh*t)

There was a movie with Ethan Hawke called Gattaca that explores how humans are all edited in the womb, and those who are not are second class.

It has been a long time since I have watched this, but I remember it being pretty good.

Can confirm. It is a good movie.

"“In a society where mediocrity is too often the standard and too often rewarded,” he said, “there is intense fascination with men who detest mediocrity, who refuse to define themselves in conventional terms, and who seek to transcend traditionally recognized human capabilities. This is exactly the type of person BUD/S is meant to find. The man who finds a way to complete each and every task to the best of his ability. The man who will adapt and overcome any and all obstacles.”" (David Goggins, Can't Hurt Me)

For those who have experience with owning a website,
important questions:

Do all website need to look the same?

I am making a video sharing website,
should my website have the the OPTION button on the same place as Youtube, as well as the other buttons?
Can I make up my own words?

-------------------------------------------

Should I hire a pro to build the website (Costs Money)

or

Should I take my time a program it? (Costs Time)

What do you think?
Thank you.

Anyone here from Belarus and Poland to chip in on whats going on?

Huge far-right protest in Warsaw as Poland-Belarus border crisis intensifies

November 11 2021, The Times

Tens of thousands of far-right protesters marched through Warsaw today as the crisis on the border of Poland and Belarus escalated.

Polish ministers had said that they were braced for imminent “attacks” on the country’s eastern frontier before the annual demonstration, which is Europe’s biggest far-right march.

President Lukashenko of Belarus threatened today to close down a key gas pipeline to Europe if Poland shut its border. “We are heating Europe, but they still threaten us with closing the border,” Lukashenko, 67, said. “But what if we cut off [gas] for the Poles and, for example, for the Germans? What will happen then? We should stop at nothing when defending our sovereignty and our independence.”

The EU has accused Belarus of acting like a “gangster” by luring migrants from the Middle East, Afghanistan and Africa and helping them to storm the border, which is the EU’s eastern edge, into Poland. The Polish government has claimed that Lukashenko’s ally, Russia, is behind the provocative operation.

The Yamal-Europe gas pipeline pumps Russian gas through Belarus to Poland and Germany. Lukashenko said that the volume of gas heading through the pipeline had increased significantly in recent months because of Europe’s energy crisis. Shortages and high demand have sent prices to record levels, and forced some energy companies out of business.

“I would recommend that the Polish leadership, the Lithuanians and other brainless people think before speaking,” Lukashenko added.

Poland closed a key border crossing with Belarus on Tuesday. Mateusz Morawiecki, the prime minister, said the move was necessary for both Poland’s national interests and the “stability and security” of the EU. On Monday what had been a trickle of migrants heading to Poland increased dramatically, with hundreds arriving at the border, apparently ushered by Belarusian security forces. About 800 people have camped out in the cold in woods close to the Polish town of Kuznica. Morawiecki has sent about 15,000 soldiers to reinforce the border zone.

Bartosz Grodecki, the Polish deputy interior minister, warned of a possible “attack” on the border this evening, suggesting that Belarus could seek to take advantage of the police force being spread more thinly. “As perceived by the other side . . . since we have to act on almost two fronts — to secure both the Independence March and the border — it could mean that we’ll be weak somewhere,” he told Polsat News.

In past years the nationalist march in Warsaw has been attended by up to 100,000 people and has often ended in violent clashes with the police.

Incidents on the border have continued to build up. The Polish defence ministry reported this morning that a group of “a few hundred” migrants had tried to enter the country near Bialowieza by “throwing objects” at soldiers and “attempting to destroy the fence”. They then retreated back into the forest, allegedly escorted by Belarusian soldiers.

Another incident took place near the village of Szudzialowo, 20 miles south of the main camp at Kuznica, where a migrant hit a Polish solider in the chest with a branch. He responded by firing two warning shots into the air.

Officials in Belarus denied Polish media reports that a 14-year-old migrant boy had died at the border. The state border committee said the boy had been treated for hypothermia and returned to his family.

The Belarusian side has also warned of armed escalation. Lukashenko told the state news agency BelTA today that “weapons, ammunition and explosives” were being delivered to migrants on the border. He said the weapons were mainly coming from Donbas, eastern Ukraine, where Russian-backed separatists have formed two breakaway republics.

Lukashenko said that he had spoken to President Putin about the issue. He said that many of the people camped near Kuznica were Kurds, whom he described as “warriors”. “With provocation, we will have an armed conflict,” Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian defence ministry also accused Poland of an “unprecedented build-up of military forces” on its borders, while state media whipped up anti-Polish sentiment. “You are playing with fire! You organised this crisis, this humanitarian catastrophe! American will not fight for you! Did 1939 teach you nothing?” said a TV presenter.

“If children’s tears don’t bring you to your senses, then the TU-22 bombers of Russia’s Aerospace Forces will. You can chuck away your Nato scrap metal. You Polaks have no chances! Run!”

Russia sent Tu-22M3 strategic bombers over Belarus yesterday in an apparent show of support for Lukashenko’s regime.

Dozens of people had earlier broken into Poland through three points on the tightly guarded frontier, piling pressure on Brussels to approve extra funding for a wall to be built along the border.

The Kremlin denied that Moscow was orchestrating the border crisis. “Russia has nothing to do with what’s happening on the border between Belarus and Poland,” said Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman. He said it would be “crazy” to impose sanctions on Aeroflot, Russia’s flagship air company, over allegations that it is transporting migrants from the Middle East and north Africa to Belarus.

The EU is said to be considering sanctions against airlines involved in what it has described as a “hybrid attack” on the bloc. Aeroflot has denied any involvement.

Silver lining of this "supply chain crisis":

Companies are buying American because it's faster.

(Or, if you're in another country, this means they are buying domestically - from your producers - you!)

Just read something about the world running out helium... If someone figures out how to produce helium intentionally, they will be very rich. There is certainly a way it can be done, probably as a byproduct of some other process.

Super tough situation with no obvious solutions. Poland is a very homogeneous country with nationalistic tendencies. I'd say that most people in Poland are against immigrants from this region and support protecting the borders. There are also people who simply see them as people and want to help them survive.

At first it was just a small group of people camping at the border, including women and children. But now it looks like a violent mob with many young men obviously prepared (with wire cutters and stuff) and so it's extremely unlikely it will be resolved peacefully.

Either way, this will have to be resolved soon as you can't really camp and survive in the winter in this area. It'll be brutally cold and without supplies there'll be casualties of this crisis.

I wouldn't want to be the guy in charge deciding what to do. I don't even know what to think about it myself other than it's repulsive that Belarus uses immigrants as a political weapon.

"Thank you. Since we decided a few weeks ago to adopt the leaf as legal tender, we have, of course, all become immensely rich." [...]

"But we have also," continued the management consultant, "run into a small inflation problem on account of the high level of leaf availability, which means that, I gather, the current going rate has something like three deciduous forests buying one ship's peanut." [...]

"So in order to obviate this problem," he continued, "and effectively revalue the leaf, we are about to embark on a massive defoliation campaign, and...er, burn down all the forests. I think you'll all agree that's a sensible move under the circumstances."

Just as added context:

- Belarus encourages immigrants in their country to head to the Polish border
- The immigrants want to get to Germany (supposably) because it's the golden ticket destination for free stuff
- You got Poland in the middle who doesn't like any freeloaders and is strict on people just strolling into its country

I guess as a country you decide you either have borders or you don't and Poland has chosen that they do.
From the videos I have seen its 99% young males.

On this topic as well confirming what you said (I find it crazy that the Belarusian army actually helps the immigrants cross the border illegally):

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UceX2P6RZz4

On the other hand, media can manipulate this any way they want, including showing only the violent moments and the young males. It's very easy to crop out anyone else, only focus on the violent people, and in general forget that these young males may be fathers who are simply trying to find a new home for the rest of the family.

Like I said before, I don't know what to think about it but it's definitely not a black and white thing like the media would like people to believe (I guess you can't let a good crisis go to waste without dividing people into two camps).

I don't have a shred of doubt that the polish government will cave in.

No way whatsoever. The current party is as anti-immigrant and nationalist as they can get. They won't yield.

Poland has a long history of being invaded. I guess that history is continuing. No wonder they don't like it.
