What happens to the products in the shop when that shop/showroom closes down?

Marketing, social media, advertising

Whenever a shop or showroom closes down what actually happens to the stock of products in that shop, how do they deal with it?

Are you asking how the liquidation process works?

I see most of the shop owners around here just find trouble handling the left stock while winding up and end up selling it for way lower price. So I was wondering if there could be a website for these owners where they could sell their leftover stock at price lower but not that lower as they have to sell just to avoid huge loss. Would this website work???? Thus way consumers would also get quality products in cheap prices and closing owners have no need to incur huge losses.

For instance there was a fireworks shop in my locality that had to wind up and they owner had to give all the fireworks in my locality for free.

I'd need a similar website.

I have products to liquidate (an older version of a current product), but I hadn't find any website doing this.

There is something, but they are so ugly and user unfriendly. I think they don't work well.

PS. I'm speaking about Europe. I don't know if US is different.

Like DoingDeals said, it is generally a case of the company liquidating their assets and thats where an auction house or brokerage comes into play.

There are plenty of websites for companies that provide these services, but it of course depends on your niche

May I know what type of products you have clothing, electronics or something else?
