Im kind of open minded all rounder type of person.

Is it a worthful idea ?

The extracted gold won't be of the quality needed to sell it directly to customers and will be mixed up with lots of other materials. You'll have to sell directly to the parting work, I guess. It's certainly better than just throwing that stuff in the trash, but if you calculate the time you need and the cost you have, I'm pretty sure it's not even a minimum wage job. That's why this kind of recycling is outsourced to China and Africa.

There are plenty of companies in the US and all over the world that buy all kinds of gold-containing materials from people. They will even buy old gold dental fillings and crowns! They either reclaim it or sell it to other companies. Probably some of the owners of these companies become wealthy; others do really good; others just survive and probably others go out of business. It's something you have to focus on and then build. I believe it's realistic, unlike many other business opportunities. There are probably lots of niches in this type of business. Like for example, focusing on one particular gold-containing material. Be the best at it; build trust and at worst you can make a decent living.
