Awaking the Giant Within-Tony Robbins.

I would second this one @Argue.

Get it on Kindle as I know you have a system for reading books. I ended up highlighting A TON of stuff out of the paperback that was about 500+ pages and then copying all those highlights to a document. Took a long time...

That is why I buy Kindle books only now.

EDIT: I stand corrected, going back I now see that you still buy the physical books.

I don't read a lot of books anymore but one of my favourites I keep coming back to;

'Random Reminiscences of men and events' by John D Rockefeller.

Even though this was written over a century ago in 1909, much of what he says is timeless and still relevant today. Its a short book but contains some great stories and insights. Would highly recommend.

Hunger Games was the first novel that got me interested in writing styles, especially for genres like adventure and tragedy. Landed me in fanfiction for some time until I realised that I wasn't gonna get real money (and real feedback). But if I were a real fully-fledged author, I would use fanfiction to test out certain story pathways and character developments for the reader community to respond to.

For instance, if I wanted to try writing a kissing scene, from the build-up to climax, I would test the writing with Peeta and Katniss, and see which environment is better for effect/clarity/externalities (e.g. after the Capitol defeat, anxiety before the 74th Hunger Games, etc.)

I enjoyed Branson's tale on how he basically lived like a college kid when he opened the records stores. He basically had next to no fear. He lived with a great sense of purpose, which was mostly to solve the problem before him, while making new friends and connections all the way.

Recommendations on more books?
Efficiency by Wallstreet Playboys. Good blueprint for success that includes routines for diet, exercises, outsourcing house chores and a write-up that helps you to bridge the gap between career and entrepreneurship (for folks who believe in milking the job as you start your business).

Totally Incorrect Vol 2 by Doug Casey.
A Milton Friedman-ish commentary on issues like political correctness, South Korea's robot tax (didn't know there was even one before the book), UBI, crypto as a form of money, commodities vs tech investing, whether conflicts with Russia and North Korea can spark (gasp!) and much more!

Would recommend folks to read UNSCRIPTED first before this, to get 'adjusted'.

Second to Awaken the Giant Within and Never Split the Difference.

These first two are great reads and definitely worth your time.

Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck -
A book on how to take action and not get bogged down in “what if’s”.

The Slight Edge -
A book on doing things each and every day. Highly PROCESS oriented and not EVENT oriented.

Here's another book that is a great read (and teaches you to read).

How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler

It teaches you systems that will increase your comprehension of what you read.
Basically, read through this and you'll have a higher chance of getting what you want out of the books listed in this thread.

Great List!

I have already read a number of the mentioned books from various of the categories:thumbsup:

I will now focus on reading books from the Copywriting and Consumer Behaviour Categories. They are in line with the goals I have for my business at this time and I hope they will be helpful.

Thanks again!

I hated Mortimer with such a passion .. until I realized that defining terms was the only way to connect via any social media platform. This book is definitely dry af and annoying but.. yep. It’s the book that teaches you how to read all other books. Rep +

Ripping a book list off a (silent) mentor of mine. Haven't read yet (on my Kindle), but this guy is focussed, dedicated and very wealthy.
I won't mention as not to be seen as promoting but he says these are his most favourite.

In no order:
The Outsiders, Thorndike
Relentless, T. Grover
Made in America, Sam Walton
Principles, R. Dalio

What about a fiction section for this list? Which books would you include?

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
Anthem by Ayn Rand
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
'93 by Victor Hugo (IMO better than Les Mis, not nearly as popular though).
Toilers of the Sea by Victor Hugo (IMO one of his best books, very underrated).
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dosteovsky (fyi this book is very dark)
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (its not as good as the others on this list but its good enough).

If you read all those and find other fiction books that are in the same caliber, let me know because I would love to read them.

I have read most of them and I am a big fan of Dosteovsky, I think you probably would like "The Idiot" by Dostoevsky. I really liked "The death of Ivan Ilych" by Tolstoy it makes you think about your mortality in a very impactful way.
