Opening this thread to talk about the opportunities to do with implementing a circular economy.

Recycling and waste reduction are very broad. What specifically do you want to talk about? Do you have an idea for a recycling play?

Not just opportunities for waste reduction/management!

I can see:

  • Implementation (consulting/ auditing)
  • Waste Management (Building businesses around collecting the waste of others and making something useful)
  • Education
  • Networking
  • Events
  • Product Design
  • Logistics
  • Energy

In in terms of a recycling play...

Most businesses pay to have their waste removed. So if you can take that waste and make something useful out of it you get paid to take it away and then paid again to sell it on.

I think there's a real good opportunity here for blockchain (not necessarily cryptocoins) but a distributed ledger of scrap materials is exactly what the recycling industry needs, solve the last mile problem, there's real geoarbitarge where scrap is lower in one place than another and collection costs are too high.
